Karbaschi Echoes American Talking Points | These People Hold a Grudge Against the IRGC

A member of the Parliament's National Security Committee, reacting to remarks by Gholamhossein Karbaschi on the violation of the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, stressed: Some individuals, out of animosity toward the IRGC, are repeating American talking points and, instead of clarifying the facts, accuse the IRGC of violations.

A member of the National Security Commission of the Majlis, in response to Gholamhossein Karbaschi's statement regarding the violation of the Islamabad Memorandum, emphasized: Some people, because of their enmity with the Revolutionary Guards, repeat the same words of the Americans and instead of clarifying the facts, they accuse the Revolutionary Guards of violations.

According to Ambassador Arjan's report, Karbaschi in a TV program identifies Iran's attack on three offending ships in the Strait of Hormuz as the cause of the violation of the Islamabad Memorandum by the United States. While the attacks of the Zionist regime on Lebanon, contrary to the first clause of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, and the actions of the United States in the Strait of Hormuz, including the creation of the Omani corridor in the Strait of Hormuz, were the main reasons for the failure of the Memorandum.

In this regard, Mohammad Ismail Kothari, the representative of Tehran, Ray, Shemiranat, Islamshahr and Pardis in the Islamic Council, in a conversation with the Majlis reporter, Ambassador Arjan, in response to the allegations made about the violation of the ceasefire by Iran, stated: Regarding the issue of the violation of the third ceasefire, it should be said that this happened after the signing of the 14-point memorandum; A memorandum of understanding signed by both Mr. Medeshian and the President of the United States. He added: The germ of corruption of the President of the United States, he did not understand what he was signing at that time or that he signed without fully understanding the contents of the memorandum. But when it was realized that the seven clauses of this memorandum should be implemented and then the second phase would begin, the Americans took actions that basically meant violating the ceasefire.

The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament continued: It was supposed that the Strait of Hormuz would be opened after a short time by the IRGC forces so that the traffic in it would return to normal. But before this process was done, the Americans sent several ships to the area with the radar turned off so that they could justify this issue and claim that the strait is open.

The Americans violated the agreement

Kostari clarified: In such a situation, the duty of the IRGC forces was to deal with the ships that had violated; Because according to the memorandum, the Strait of Hormuz was supposed to be opened after one or two days, according to the set schedule. But the Americans took these measures to violate the same memorandum of understanding. He added: The IRGC forces also realized this issue and had already announced that if the ships traveling in this area commit violations, they will definitely be dealt with. Everything is back to normal; Therefore, it is a lie to say that the IRGC took action before the deadline. Kowsari emphasized: IRGC has complied with all the issues; Because this force never takes action without the order of its commander. The command is also coordinated by the Supreme National Security Council and the Commander-in-Chief; Therefore, the issue should be examined from this angle.

Some people repeat the words of America

Criticizing the positions of some people inside the country, he added: "Unfortunately, some insiders try to repeat the same words of the Americans and raise the issue in such a way that it seems that the IRGC has committed a violation in this regard because of their enmity with the IRGC."

The member of the Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission continued: If anyone does not know about this issue, they should know that the IRGC receives orders from the Commander-in-Chief according to the constitution. The IRGC is under the command of the commander-in-chief, it acts according to the constitution and will never move ahead of the commander-in-chief. The first clause of the memorandum was violated in the attack on Lebanon. Referring to the regional developments at that time, Kotsari also stated: The same issue existed in Lebanon. The Zionist regime attacked Hezbollah first. In fact, this was the first paragraph that was violated by them. The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Parliament noted: These issues are not issues that we want to look for evidence to prove.
