IGN's Will Judd recently reviewed Superstrike and gave it a rare 10/10 "masterpiece" rating. This is a "must have" mouse for competitive gamers. Superstrike is the spiritual successor of the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 mouse. They're both Logitech's lightest mice at 60 grams with a similar ergonomic shape, both have the same Hero 2 sensor, and have a comparable 40-hour battery life. And that's where the similarities end.

The X2 Superstrike features Logitech's new Touch Inductive Trigger System (HITS). Instead of physical (and clicky) microswitches, the buttons now use electromagnetic sensors. Logitech claims this reduces click latency by up to 30ms for faster targeting. You'll still feel the click, but it's coming from the sound of the touch motor, not the actual click itself. As a side effect, the buttons are silent, so you can use it at night without disturbing anyone, and fewer moving parts means less wear and tear on mechanical parts.

Another advantage of electromagnetic sensors is increased customization. The X2 Superstrike has adjustable action points and resets. You can adjust the distance of your click travel, both while pressing and on reset. Choose from ten trigger activation points and five quick reset points. It's not unlike the last generation of gaming keyboards with magnetic switches, but now turned into a gaming mouse.

I've actually never seen the X2 Superstrike go under $100. Granted, this isn't a bargain for a brand new retail boxed unit, but a "like new" unit at this price is worth the gamble, especially since Amazon's resale has a solid return policy.
