Didi was briefly hospitalized after hitting his head in prison
The rap mogul was reportedly conscious and able to speak after leaving the New Jersey facility early Saturday.
According to TMZ, Sean "Diddy" Combs was taken to a local hospital after suffering a head injury from a New Jersey federal prison, where he is serving a 50-month sentence.
The rap mogul was transferred from the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, on Saturday morning, the newspaper reported on Monday. TMZ said Combs left the center around 1 a.m. and returned just before 7 a.m. Sources told this media that he was conscious and talking to people during the incident.
Combs' personal publicist told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday that she is still trying to figure out what happened.
Diddy lost two months of his release when federal prison privileges came to light
Sean "Diddy" Combs reportedly runs the Fort Dix prison cell like a luxury suite with paid staff.
"We are aware of the reports regarding Sean Combs and are working to confirm the situation. Sean's health and well-being is our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who helped them," he told THR in a message Monday afternoon.
Combs has been in the news again recently, this time for his reported behavior behind bars, including possession of a contraband cell phone and tablet.
A recent report from NBC News' 'Dateline' reveals that the bad boy founder has extended his lavish lifestyle to his cell, where a group of incarcerated men are paid for doing things like making the rapper's bed, cleaning toilets and showers, and giving money to their commissary accounts. He gives massages.
Fort Dix officials sanctioned Combs for "disruptive behavior" and forfeited 41 days of good behavior time he earned during his first year at the facility. The former quasi-billionaire is now set to be released from federal custody in March 2028.
After an extensive trial in the summer of 2025, Combs was convicted of two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution and acquitted of the more serious charges of conspiracy and sex trafficking. After a court hearing in October, he was sentenced to 50 months in prison. He and his lawyers are awaiting a decision on their appeal.
