Pezeshkian Warns Producers and Inspectors / Quality of Iranian Goods Called into Question?

Pezeshkian, pointing to the role of standards in public health and economic efficiency, stressed: Consumers must be able to trust the quality of goods and services.

The text of the message of Dr. Masoud Al-Madijian on the occasion of International Standard Week and Day is as follows:

"The standard is a criterion for measuring the correctness and competence of decisions, behaviors and performances. Adhering to it in all aspects of life is the basis for realizing social justice, respecting people's rights, strengthening public trust and sustainable development of society. In our belief, from a religious and moral point of view, honesty and integrity are the basis of a healthy and responsible life, and the standard can be seen as a manifestation of this truth in various fields of life.

The standard is not only limited to the technical criteria of production and the criteria for measuring the quality of goods, but it is a comprehensive principle and attitude to regulate social relations, improve the quality of services, protect people's health and safety, increase efficiency and use the country's resources and facilities correctly. A society that bases its decisions and actions on clear, scientific and fair criteria can better strengthen public trust, prevent the violation of people's rights, and pave the way for sustainable progress.

In the field of production and economy, compliance with the standard is a sign of respect for consumer rights, the producer's commitment to quality and responsibility towards society. People have the right to be confident in the health, safety and quality of the goods and services they receive, and producers must have transparent, fair and reliable criteria. Careful monitoring, continuous evaluation and comprehensive implementation of standards, while improving the quality of Iranian products and increasing their competitiveness, will be the foundation for more people's trust and more credibility of the country in global markets.

Also, many existing conflicts and inefficiencies are rooted in the non-observance of proportions, the lack of clear criteria, and the lack of correct patterns in the consumption and allocation of resources. The correction of this situation requires a review of decision-making methods and a gradual and continuous movement towards optimal consumption, reducing waste and increasing productivity.

Accurate and efficient standards can lead to improving the quality of equipment and services and lead to proper management of energy consumption and support for the development of clean energy, preservation of national resources and protection of the interests of future generations. This approach is a shared responsibility for the government, producers and all citizens.

It is expected that the National Standard Organization will take advantage of the scientific and specialized capacities of the country, strengthen the coordination between the institutions and develop accurate and effective supervision, in the direction of achieving justice, improving quality, respecting the rights of the people and continuously improving the functions, and by formulating and implementing clear and measurable programs, it will pursue the achievement of tangible and sustainable results.

While congratulating the efforts of this field on International Standards Week and Day, I emphasize the necessity of expanding and institutionalizing the culture of standards in all aspects of life and its establishment as a basis for measuring the quality of functions, decisions and services, and I hope that by improving the quality and competitiveness of Iranian products, we will witness a stronger Iranian and have a worthy position in the world markets.
