Hosseinzadeh: Rural Credits Must Lead to Wealth Creation and Sustainable Employment

Qazvin – The Vice President said investment in production chains and linking producers to markets is the path to sustainable job creation in villages.

According to Mehr reporter, Abdul Karim Hosseinzadeh, in the meeting of Qazvin province managers with the vice president for rural development and deprived areas, pointed out the need to reduce the gap between deprived areas and the average development indicators of the country and stated: The basis of the government's activity is the realization of justice, and resources and investments should be directed in such a way that historically deprived areas can reach an acceptable level of development.

Referring to the infrastructural indicators of interest in rural development programs, he added: rural roads, watershed management, rehabilitating canals and improving stone schools are among the axes that are followed in the understandings and implementation plans, and an important part of the demands raised in the provincial trips are also dedicated to these areas.

Referring to the measures taken to reduce the water tension in the villages, the Vice President for Rural Development and Underprivileged Regions said: Water issue is one of the strategic and sensitive issues in different regions of the country and we are trying to solve some of the existing problems by implementing related plans.

Hosseinzadeh also announced the cooperation with the School Renovation Organization and the Program and Budget Organization to eliminate stone schools and said: In this context, three efforts have been allocated from deprivation credits. We also cooperate with the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development and the Program and Budget Organization to advance programs related to rural roads.

The development of villages cannot be achieved with partial support

Emphasizing the need to change the approach of managers in the field of rural development, he said: we must move away from a purely supportive approach and move towards empowerment; Because if the relationship of executive bodies and even benefactors with local communities is based only on occasional support, stable economy and permanent employment will not be formed in villages and nomadic areas.

The Vice President for Rural Development and Underprivileged Regions continued: To achieve this goal, the capacity of the National Development Fund and the cooperation of banks have been used, and memorandums of understanding have been signed to provide financial resources to underserved areas.

Hosseinzadeh stated that economic programs should be designed based on production chains and clarified: we should not be satisfied with creating small and scattered jobs; Rather, we should design the path of production until the product is delivered to the market so that the main producer gets a larger share of the created value and the intermediary does not prevent him from benefiting from the real production income.

Referring to the definition of 12 economic chains in the plans of this deputy, he said: the selection of chains in each province is done based on local capacities. Medicinal plants, light livestock, beekeeping, camels and solar farms are among the capacities that have been considered in this framework.

The vice president for rural development and underprivileged areas also considered tourism as one of the important fields of investment in the provinces and added: the capacities of each province should be identified and planned to turn them into sustainable wealth and income.

The capacities of Qazvin should be converted into economic value

Referring to the capacities of Qazvin province, Hosseinzadeh noted: managers should not look for all solutions in government credits; Rather, they should have a plan to create wealth and added value from the existing capacities of the province. The government will also be with the managers and people in this direction.

Referring to the exhibition of the capabilities of the provinces, he said: In this exhibition, 250 provincial booths were set up to introduce the capacities, of which 150 booths were dedicated to the supply and sale of products. Also, planning to connect 50 startups and technology groups with economic capacities was put on the agenda.

The Vice President for Rural Development and Underprivileged Regions emphasized on the necessity of providing opportunities for the supply of products and introducing the capabilities of different regions of the country, referring to the visitors' welcome to the introduction of local capacities.

He also pointed to the inequality of educational and sports opportunities in some regions and said: There may be talented students in a region, but they do not have the possibility of proper access to education or the provision of the necessary conditions to succeed in the entrance examination. In the field of sports, the identification of talents and investment for their cultivation should be considered.

Hosseinzadeh, referring to the demands raised by the managers and representatives of the province, including the problems of internet access, mobile phone and landline coverage, said: I have written down these and other issues raised, and a meeting is scheduled to be held next week with the presence of the governor of Qazvin to review the system of issues and capacities of the province.

He added: In this meeting, both the deficiencies and problems of different regions as well as the economic and social capacities of the province will be examined so that decisions can be made about fair and appropriate solutions to the conditions of each region.

In another part of his speech, the Vice President for Rural Development and Underprivileged Regions, referring to the cultural diversity of Qazvin province, said: Qazvin can be a symbol of national solidarity and empathy between different ethnic groups and cultures, and the formation of a bipolar and multipolar atmosphere in the society should be avoided.

Hosseinzadeh emphasized the need for managers to accompany the people in difficult conditions of the country and said: Iran's development goes through the path of honest and loyal service to the people, and the government should be with the nation with all its might.
