New Indicators for Field-Location Licensing Issued; Condition Set for Azad University

The Office for Higher Education Expansion of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology issued new indicators for licensing field-location programs based on the latest resolutions of the Higher Education Expansion Council.

According to Mehr reporter, the Higher Education Development Office of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology announced the new indicators for the licensing of majors based on the latest approvals of the Higher Education Development Council. These indicators determine the composition of faculty members required to issue a license for the field of medicine at different levels of education in public universities and institutions of higher education, Islamic Azad University, non-governmental non-profit institutions, and Payam Noor University.

Indicators of local field licensing in universities and state higher education institutions

Based on the approvals of the meetings of 08/06/1392, 01/29/1400 and 11/05/1404, the composition of faculty members required for the departments of humanities, basic sciences, engineering and agriculture is as follows:

In associate degree and non-continuous bachelor degree, the presence of three full-time instructors is required. For continuous undergraduate degree, two assistant professors and two full-time instructors are needed.

At the master's level, one associate professor and three full-time assistant professors with at least two years of relevant experience and expertise must be present.

At the doctoral level, at least one full professor, two associate professors and three full-time assistant professors or four associate professors and three full-time assistant professors are required.

In the art department, three full-time instructors are needed for associate and undergraduate degrees. At the continuous undergraduate level, one assistant professor and three full-time instructors and at the master's level, one associate professor and three full-time assistant professors with at least two years of relevant experience and expertise are required. The conditions of faculty members in doctoral level are at least one full professor, two associate professors and three full-time assistant professors or four associate professors and three full-time assistant professors.

Indicators of licensing of field of study in Islamic Azad University and non-governmental non-profit institutions

According to the approvals of the meetings of the Higher Education Expansion Council 12/01/1393, 1397/08/06, 1399/08/11, 1400/01/29, and 11/05/1404, in humanities, basic sciences, technical and engineering, and agriculture groups, two full-time instructors are needed for associate and bachelor degrees, and for continuous bachelor, one assistant professor and two full-time instructors are needed.

At the master's level, non-governmental non-profit institutions must have three full-time assistant professors with at least two years of relevant experience and expertise. In Islamic Azad University, one associate professor and two full-time assistant professors with at least two years of experience and relevant expertise are required.

In the Department of Art, two full-time instructors are needed for associate degrees and bachelor's degrees, and one assistant professor and two full-time instructors are needed for bachelor's degrees. At the master's level, three full-time assistant professors with at least two years of relevant experience and expertise are required, and at the doctoral level, at least one full-time professor, two associate professors and three full-time assistant professors or four associate professors and three full-time assistant professors are required.

Indicators of issuing field licenses in Payam Noor University

According to the approvals of the meetings of the Council for the Development of Higher Education on 23/03/1393, 06/08/1397, 29/01/1400 and 05/11/1404, one assistant professor and one full-time instructor are needed in the groups of humanities, basic sciences, technical and engineering, agriculture and art for the continuous undergraduate degree.

At the master's level, the presence of two full-time assistant professors with at least two years of relevant experience and expertise is required.

According to the notices of the higher education extension office, all faculty members used in the creation of the field must be approved by the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in the higher education system (HES).

Also, the applicant institution is obliged to have provided the workshop and laboratory facilities and equipment needed for the field at the time of applying for the field license.

According to the third note, in order to issue a license for a doctoral degree, the applicant institution must have three master's degree courses in the applied field or a related field.

Also, in order to apply for the issuance of a local field license in master's and doctoral degrees, all the faculty members used must have scientific and research records related to the applied field.
