According to Ambassador Arjan, Kamfirouz region is located in the north of Fars province and is a part of Maroodasht city, at a distance of about 110 km from Shiraz and is one of the well-known rice cultivation areas in Fars province. The extensive Kamfirouz rice fields give a different face to this plain during the harvest season; Where farmers are harvesting rice using traditional and mechanized methods along with agricultural machinery.

According to the latest figure announced for the region itself, about 5,500 hectares of Kamfirouz lands are dedicated to rice cultivation. In the years 1404 and 1405, by organizing and developing part of the agricultural canals in the region, about 50 hectares have been added to the area under cultivation. According to the mayor of Kamfiroz, this plan can provide the basis for an annual increase of about 200 tons of rice production by reducing water wastage.

Rice cultivation in Kamfiroz is a combination of traditional and mechanized methods. In recent years, the use of machinery in the planting and harvesting stages has increased, and a significant part of agricultural operations is carried out with mechanized equipment; However, in some farms, traditional and flooded methods are still used. Rice harvest usually starts in early autumn and during this season, the paddy fields of the region witness the activity of farmers, harvesters and harvest workers. After harvesting, paddy is transferred to rice threshing units for drying and processing. We are witnessing a picture of the link between traditional agriculture and new technologies, where paddy fields, water, machinery and human power together form a product production cycle that is part of the agricultural identity of the region and the economy of its rural households.
