BondIt, Buffalo 8 and Sandaled Kid Productions Team Up on High-Concept Horror Film (Exclusive)

BondIt Media Capital, Buffalo 8 Distribution and Sandaled Kid Productions have partnered on a new series of horror films.

The partnership will develop three commercial and high-concept horror films. BondIt will fund Slate, while Buffalo will publish 8 titles. Sandaled Kid Productions will focus on developing and producing projects.

"This partnership brings together companies with complementary strengths and a shared belief in daring filmmaking and commercial genre," James Cullen Bursack, founder of Sandaled Kid Productions, said in a statement. "We wanted to create a slate that was fresh, marketable and genuinely scary, while giving each film a chance to stand out in a crowded market." The deal was negotiated by Bersac and Matthew Helderman, CEO and co-founder of BondIt and Buffalo 8. Bersac and Helderman will both serve as executive producers on the three films. Popular in Variety

"James is a long-time collaborator with our teams on BondIt and Buffalo 8 — and we're excited for another adventure with him as we target a 2027 release," Helderman said in a statement. This genre of original films represents our continued expansion and focus on new commercial projects for the VOD audience.

Further details, including titles, filmmakers and production schedules, have yet to be announced.

Helderman founded Buffalo 8 in 2010 as an independent media studio focused on production, post-production and distribution. BondI was launched in 2013 with a focus on removing capital pressure from deposits.

Sandaled Kid was released in 2020 with a focus on low-budget and mid-budget genre films, especially action and horror. Bersak's works include "Darkness of Man", "Hot Seat" and "Castle".
