Annual Production of 3,000 Tons of Pistachios in East Azerbaijan; Export to European Markets Made Easier

Head of the East Azerbaijan Agricultural Jihad Organization, referring to annual production of about 3,000 tons of pistachios in the province, said that expanding cultivation of this low-water crop, strengthening trade infrastructure and branding Ilkhchi pistachios, along with enabling export testing within the province, can increase the economic value of the product and ease its presence in export markets, including Europe.

Referring to the annual production of about three thousand tons of pistachios in the province, the head of East Azarbaijan Agricultural Jihad Organization said: developing the cultivation of this low-water product, strengthening the commercial infrastructure and branding of Ilkhchi pistachios, along with providing the possibility of conducting export tests within the province, can help increase the economic value of the product and facilitate its presence in export markets, including Europe.
