Rudan Governor: Crop Patterns and Packaging Are Two Essential Needs for Rudan Agriculture

RUDAN – Rudan's governor, citing the water scarcity crisis and weak packaging industries, stressed adherence to crop patterns and the development of processing industries to support farmers and local products.

Rodan - Referring to the water shortage crisis and the weakness of the packaging industries, the governor of Rodan emphasized on following the model of cultivation and development of conversion industries to support the farmers and products of this city.

According to Mehr reporter, Mohammad Mohseni said on Thursday evening at the National Lime and Date Festival: Rodan is famous for its people and governorship, and the title of Behesht South is also clear from the name of this city, but today Behesht South is facing problems, of which water and the cultivation pattern are the most important.

Referring to the production of agricultural products in this city, he added: Today, agricultural products are produced and harvested, but what should be observed in the field of cultivation pattern has not been properly considered.

The governor of Rodan asked the farmers in Rodan city to pay attention to the cultivation pattern and said: I request all the dear farmers in the city to think about water, because farming and people's livelihood depend on this issue. If we follow the pattern of cultivation, people's table will not remain empty.

Referring to the situation of lime production in Rodan, Mohseni said: Today, Rodan lemon is disappearing, a product that was really famous. We must see why the situation has become this way and observe what is necessary. The pattern of cultivation and water consumption are fundamental issues, and if there is no water, there will be no agriculture in Rodan.

Referring to the problems of gardeners due to lack of water, he said: Our gardeners are really complaining about lack of water and their gardens are drying up. The gardener who had 20 hectares of lemon orchards is facing problems today and on the other hand, he is being fined for water and electricity. How can you talk to this farmer in such a situation?

Referring to the capacity of the farmers of this city and the quality of its products, Governor Rodan emphasized the need to pay attention to the packaging industry and said: Rodan is famous for producing lemons and has the best lemons, but sometimes we send the product in bulk or in sacks, and this has caused problems.

Mohseni added: If the packaging industries are active in Rodan, we will not have idle workers throughout this city. Rodan has products in all four seasons of the year, but in the field of packaging industry, we have not yet been able to operate as we should.

Pointing to the necessity of stating the facts from public forums, he clarified: Sometimes we do not tell the facts to the people, but today as a representative of the government, I announce that we have performed poorly in the field of packaging industries and we must turn this sector into a brand.

The governor of Rodan continued: Rodan lemons are of very good quality, but when the same product goes to the north or other regions, it is sold in one or two kilogram packages and is sold at a higher price.

Referring to the production capacity of dates and other agricultural products of Rodan, Mohseni said: In addition to lemons, dates of the city are also high-quality products. Our bell pepper is also a really remarkable product, but the packaging of these products is done poorly and the products go to other regions for packaging, which is unfortunately a problem.

Referring to the solutions to support this sector, he said: The main solution is to pay attention to the packaging and conversion industries. We have announced that we will help in this field and the government will also support.

In another part of his speech, the governor of Rodan city, referring to the critical conditions of Hormozgan province, stated: It is necessary to say from the podium of this festival that in the worst critical conditions, under the management of Mohammad Ashuri, the governor of Hormozgan province, the province did not face shortages and deficits.

Mohseni added: We really need to thank the high representative of the government in the province, because Hormozgan is in the most critical situation and this issue deserves appreciation and thanks.

In the end, he thanked the producers and farmers and noted that producers and people who work with heart and soul should be appreciated. These people continue to work and produce without any government support, and these efforts are a source of pride.
