First Specialized Conference on Bitumen and Asphalt to Be Held in Arak with 10 Provinces Participating

ARAK – The Director General of Roads and Road Transportation in Markazi Province announced that the first specialized conference on bitumen and asphalt for the country's central region will be held in Arak, with managers and engineers from 10 provinces in attendance.

Ruholah Mohsenzadeh said in a conversation with Mehr reporter: Bitumen and Asphalt Specialized Conference with the participation of Bitumen and Asphalt Specialized Conference Center for Road, Housing and Urban Development Research and hosted by Central Province provides a platform for exchanging specialized experiences, improving engineering knowledge and familiarizing with new methods of bitumen production and consumption and asphalt implementation.

Referring to the importance of road pavement quality in traffic safety and reducing road infrastructure maintenance costs, he added: the use of new technologies and specialized methods of asphalt implementation can help increase the durability of road procedures, improve the quality of construction projects, and make optimal use of resources and credits allocated to the road sector.

The Director General of Roads and Road Transport of the Central Province stated that the transfer of technical knowledge and the use of experts' experiences are the main axes of this event, and stated: In this conference, managers, engineers, contractors, consultants and representatives of executive bodies related to the bitumen and asphalt industry will have the opportunity to interact and exchange views on the challenges and solutions to improve the quality of the implementation of pavement projects.

Mohsenzadeh continued: introducing solutions to increase the useful life of asphalt, getting acquainted with the new achievements of the bitumen industry and examining the methods of improving the process of implementing asphalt procedures are among the topics that will be considered in this specialized meeting.

He also announced the holding of an exhibition of machinery and equipment related to the bitumen and asphalt industry on the sidelines of this conference and said: This exhibition provides an opportunity to introduce new technologies, specialized equipment and technical capacities of activists in this field and familiarize the participants with practical solutions in the implementation of road construction projects.

The General Director of Roads and Road Transport of the Central Province stated: Holding this conference by strengthening the relationship between the scientific, executive and specialized departments will provide the basis for improving the quality of road construction and maintenance, increasing productivity and developing the use of new technologies in the country's bitumen and asphalt industry.

He added: This conference will be held on October 22, with the presence of managers and engineers of executive bodies active in the field of roads from 10 provinces of the country, with the aim of exchanging technical knowledge and introducing new technologies of bitumen and asphalt industry.
