Alfa Romeo's new Coorrosso concept at the 2026 Paris Motor Show hints at the Italian brand's new streamlined design direction, as well as its commitment to high-performance internal combustion vehicles.

This car is a stylish 2+2 fastback that previews the design style of the next generation of Alfa Romeo models.

The Cuerroso has been described as a manifesto for how Alfa Romeo approaches electrification without sacrificing the features that set its cars apart from the competition.

The brand has announced that it has emphasized its "essential beauty" philosophy in shaping this new concept. Its initial design was done without wheels, glass or details to focus entirely on the proportions of the body.

Cuerroso has the same dimensions as the current Giulia: 4.7 meters long, 1.98 meters wide and 1.33 meters high with a wheelbase of 2.93 meters. It is a little shorter and wider.

In normal driving mode, the two round dials display speed and engine rpm, but in sportier modes or when the driver accelerates, they merge into a central dial inspired by the large gauge 33 Stradale of the 1960s.

Emphasis on maintaining physical controls is also one of the other features of this concept.

It is noteworthy that the Cuerroso carries the technical specifications of the next generation Quadrifolio performance models.

Alfa Romeo has envisioned a net weight of 1750 kg for this model. The familiar 2.9-liter V6 twin-turbo hybrid engine. Power is transmitted to all four wheels through an automatic torque converter gearbox and a carbon fiber drive shaft.

The company announced that it is preparing a full range of powertrains for future models, including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric.

Among the Chinese brands present in Paris, Chery is probably the most familiar to the Iranian audience. The Tiggo family has been available in Iran under different names for more than a decade, and models such as Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 have become well-known products in the market.

Tiggo 4 CSH is now one of the cars that Chery brought to the Paris show to establish its official presence in the French market.

This hybrid crossover is 4.32 meters long and its powertrain produces a total of 224 horsepower. The official combined consumption is 5.3 liters per 100 km and the total range is 900 km. The trunk has a capacity of 430 liters and two 12.3-inch screens can be seen in the cabin along with a large set of storage spaces.

Perhaps the most important number of Tiggo 4 for the European market is the price; Chery has announced a base price of 23,990 euros for France. This means that the Chinese brand is directly entering the territory of European economy cars and is not going to compete with more equipment.

For the Iranian audience, Tiggo 4 is an interesting example of how products that were once considered "Chinese cars for developing markets" have now entered one of the most demanding markets in Europe with an official sales network and hybrid powertrains.

BYD is one of the most important Chinese players at Paris 2026, and the Dolphin G DM-i is particularly important for the European market.

This car is the first BYD model that has been developed from the beginning with a special focus on the needs of Europe and introduces the DM 5.0 plug-in hybrid technology into the B class; A class in which small cars such as Clio, 208 and Polo are present.

The Dolphin G can travel up to 105 km on electric power alone, and its WLTP combined range is claimed to be up to 1,040 km. weighted fuel consumption with a charged battery is only 1.4 liters per 100 km; Of course, when the battery is discharged, this number reaches 4.5 liters. The trunk of 425 liters is also significant for a car in this class.

The importance of Dolphin G is not only limited to its specifications. Chinese automakers have gained a significant share of the European plug-in hybrid market in recent years, with Reuters reporting a share of more than 26 percent.

Instead of entering with a large sedan or SUV, BYD has now prepared a product directly for the heart of the European small car market. This is perhaps more important than any power or range number; Because it shows that the competition between China and Europe has entered the traditional and sensitive sector of economic cars.

Although the Dacia name is not as well known as Renault in Iran, the products of this brand are not unfamiliar to the Iranian audience. An important part of the cars sold in Iran under the name of Renault Logan, Sandro and Duster have their roots in Dacia products.

The second generation of Spring is one of the most important economic products of Paris 2026. The new Spring has been redesigned from the ground up and this time it is manufactured in Europe. Dacia is targeting a base price of less than 18,000 euros, and the base model is equipped with an 80 horsepower electric motor.

The car still has four real seats and a functional trunk, and unlike many new EVs, it's not going to lure customers with big screens, sporty performance or luxury tech. The basic philosophy is what Dacia has followed for years: removing unnecessary equipment to keep the price down.

This car is the first member of four new all-electric products that Dacia will offer until 2030. The previous generation Spring sold more than 210 thousand units in more than 40 countries and the new version is going to continue the same formula in tougher market conditions.

At the same time as the pressure of Chinese brands on the market of cheap electric cars, Spring is one of the most important defense tools for Renault Group.

Dacia's second global unveiling in Paris is the Striker; A crossover that is placed in the lower C segment and different from the Bigster.

Dacia uses the combination of three types of cars to describe it: the height and capabilities of an SUV, the practical space of a station wagon and the efficiency of a hatchback or sedan.

Unlike Spring, Striker is not only electric and will have a variety of powertrains including hybrid, LPG and multi-source versions. The most important weapon of the car is once again the price; Dacia promises that the base price will be less than 25,000 euros.

In a situation where the price of many European SUVs in the C segment easily exceeds 30-40 thousand euros, this number can make Striker one of the defining cars of the exhibition.

For the Iranian market, the appeal of the Striker is more related to the product philosophy than the possibility of importation. Duster and Sandero have shown that Renault Group's economic architecture can affect the market of developing countries in case of assembly or wide distribution. If the Striker succeeds in Europe, it is not unlikely that we will see its derivatives or platform in other markets in the coming years.

If we want to choose only one trend from the Paris 2026 exhibition, it is the trend of "returning to the past to build the future".

Citroën with the 2CV, Peugeot RCZ, Renault with the R5 and Gordini, Volkswagen with the Tiguan are trying to turn electric cars into something more than an anonymous device with a battery and a display.

Meanwhile, Chinese brands like BYD and Chery are pushing from the exact opposite direction: more specs, hybrid powertrains, and competitive pricing.

For the Iranian audience, this combination makes the exhibition more attractive; Because many of the names that have revived in Paris this year have already been part of the streets of Iran.

Perhaps the best example is the 2CV Concept: a car whose technical ancestors were produced in Tehran more than half a century ago, and now it is going to become one of the symbols of cheap transportation in Europe with an electric engine and a price of around 15 thousand euros.
