How Can We Reject Transactions Registered in Our Name in the Tax System?

A tax official said transaction text messages are sent to inform the public so they can reject a transaction if it does not belong to them.

A tax official said: Transaction SMS messages are sent to inform people so that they can reject the transaction if it does not belong to them.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Marzieh Jafari, the director of the data science office of the Tax Affairs Organization of the country, referring to the sending of text messages to check the information of the purchase and sale transactions registered in the name of the citizens, said: In the last two weeks, SMS messages have been sent to the compatriots to refer to the national electronic services portal of the Tax Affairs Organization and check the information related to the purchase or sale transactions that have been declared by other persons in their name.

He added: If the citizens do not confirm the registered information, either because of possible misuse of identity information or because of objection to the content of the transaction, it is possible for them to reject the notification or transaction in the system.

In a television interview, Jafari emphasized that this action is carried out with the aim of informing, clarifying and refining tax information, and stated: First of all, the Tax Affairs Organization seeks to provide the information related to transactions in an accurate manner to taxpayers and other people from whom information may have been sent to the organization; Also, by reviewing and refining these data, more accurate decision-making and taxation based on correct information is provided.

The Director of the Data Science Office of the Tax Administration stated: This action was carried out with the approach of supporting the people and increasing transparency, and there is no need to worry; Because the goal is not to create a tax burden for people who have no economic activity. On the other hand, for economic operators, checking this information helps to make tax data more transparent and correct possible incorrect information.

Referring to the implementation of Articles 169 and 169 of the Direct Taxes Law, he said: Part of the investigated information is collected within the framework of the implementation of these legal articles, and besides that, the Tax Administration must provide the necessary tools to clarify and refine the data in order to prevent the wrong perception of citizens' identity information as well as the registration of false information about economic operators.

In the end, referring to the way citizens can access these services, Jafari pointed out: The National Electronic Services Portal is the main portal for entering the electronic services of the Tax Affairs Organization, and the non-commercial portfolio, as one of the sections of this portal, provides the possibility of checking and tracking information related to transactions registered in the names of individuals.
