Yazdi-Mehr: Drilling illegal wells increases the risk of subsidence in Ray

Ray- The head of the Tehran Governorate Crisis Management Center warned about the consequences of drilling unauthorized wells, emphasized the necessity of monitoring high-risk areas of Ray city, identifying the hot spots and implementing preventive measures.

According to Mehr reporter, Hamed Yazdi Mehr, during a field visit to the high-risk areas of Ray before noon on Saturday, warned about the consequences of drilling unauthorized wells and stated: Drilling without legal permits can aggravate the risks of land subsidence and damage to buildings and infrastructure.

The head of the crisis management center of Tehran governorate in this visit, which was carried out in the company of Bijan Sulaimanpour, the governor of Ray city and a group of officials, emphasized the need to quickly identify the accident-prone areas and implement preventive measures.

Referring to the purpose of this visit, he added: the current situation of the areas, the level of vulnerability and possible risks caused by the rains were examined in order to determine the priorities of risk elimination and preventive measures of the responsible agencies.

Yazdimehr considered the timely identification of accident-prone points and taking preventive measures as one of the most effective ways to reduce damages and protect the lives of citizens and clarified: the results of field visits should lead to operational measures and elimination of risk factors.

Emphasizing the necessity of legal action against illegal excavations, he noted: Dealing with these violations should be pursued seriously along with public awareness.

The head of crisis management center of Tehran governorate also asked the citizens to avoid any arbitrary digging and to observe technical and legal regulations.

In the end, Yazdimehr listed the coordination of the responsible agencies, paying attention to safety warnings and cooperation of the people as the three basic pillars of preventing accidents and protecting the life and property of citizens.
