Esteghlal Enters Table Tennis with Unveiling of a Star

Esteghlal Football Club announced it will field a team in the Men's and Women's Premier Table Tennis League.

According to "Varzeh Se", following the formation of Esteghlal club teams in various sports fields, Esteghlal table tennis teams were formed in both men's and women's divisions so that the blue-clad players could play in this field as well.

The leadership of Esteghlal women's table tennis team is under the responsibility of Mansoure Rezaei, and Fatemeh Vahdat-Azad, the head of women's racquet sports of the club, is also responsible for the leadership of this team.

Neda Shahsavari, the most honored Iranian women's table tennis player in the Olympic arena, is one of the prominent figures of the Esteghlal team. He has a history of participating in three Olympic Games in London, Rio and Paris as the flag bearer of the Iranian convoy.

Shahsawari has won two gold medals and one bronze medal in the Solidarity Games of Islamic countries in Riyadh, and he also has a gold medal in the Central Asian competitions. This Iranian national team player also has a history of participating in the Turkish table tennis league and will play in the Esteghlal shirt in the upcoming season.
