Strict ultimatum after conditional withdrawal / official statement about the controversial case of Esteghlal game

Following the issuance of the appeal decision in the case of Esteghlal and Shahin youth teams, the football board of Tehran province gave a serious ultimatum to the clubs and wrongdoers.

According to "Varzesh Se", after the heavy disciplinary votes related to the collective brawl between Esteghlal and Shahin youths were moderated in the appeals committee, and by suspending most of the bans, the way was paved for the return of the guilty players and coaches, the football board of Tehran Province issued an official statement and provided explanations, completing the argument with other clubs.

The full text of this statement is as follows:

"Following bitter incidents and intense clashes between coaches, agents and players in one of the matches of the Premier Youth League, the Tehran Provincial Football Board included some sentences for the offenders in the first stage, but later on, the appeals committee, taking into account the records and age conditions of the offenders, and with the aim of correcting the behavior and providing a second chance for the teenagers, agreed to reduce the imposed restrictions, and the sentences were reduced or suspended.

This decision should never be considered as ignoring the violations committed or simplifying the bitter story of that day. The recent decision is actually an opportunity for the future makers of this country to review their behavior and make amends for their mistakes. Therefore, the principle was to create a new opportunity, not appeasement.

It is necessary to strongly declare that in case of repetition of similar cases in the future football games of Tehran province, there will be no concessions or reduction of bans with the aim of facilitating the return of offenders to the football field, and disciplinary decisions will be implemented decisively and according to the rules adopted.

Our emphasis is that the release of apology videos after the occurrence of possible violations, mediating the families and football veterans of Tehran province, sending letters of remorse and any requests of this kind to attract the opinion of the officials in the relevant committees will be the basis for changing the disciplinary decisions in such cases.

We no longer have the basis to reduce the suspension in similar cases, although we hope that we will not see such scenes again, but we do not see them in many games and the principles of chivalry have been observed in most matches by the players, coaches and officials of the teams.
