Italian luxury automakers have long been known for unconventional and thrilling creations, yet perhaps no car has done more than the Lamborghini Miura to lay the foundations and define the identity of the supercar world. Now, as this legend approaches its 60th anniversary, the renowned company Montegrappa, in direct collaboration with Lamborghini, has unveiled a limited and exceptional collection of handcrafted pens — a luxurious instrument whose details echo the masterpiece
Italian luxury automakers have always been known for creating groundbreaking and exciting creations, but perhaps no car has been able to establish the foundation and identity of the world of supercars as much as the Lamborghini Miura. Now, as this legend approaches its 60th anniversary, the well-known company "Montegrappa" has unveiled a limited and exceptional collection of handmade pens in direct collaboration with Lamborghini. A luxurious instrument that depicts the details of the V12 masterpiece of the 60s in small and miniature dimensions.
Amir Masoud Abedin: The collaboration between Montegrappa and Lamborghini had already passed its test in 2023 with the introduction of the "60 degrees" collection. But the new project of these two Italian brands goes beyond installing a simple logo on an expensive autograph. The most interesting point of this pen is the miniature and fully functional mechanism of hidden (pop-up) Miura lights, which has been restored with rock crystal and push-button to be the most accurate and attractive tribute to the world's first mid-engine supercar.
A subtle translation of Gandini's design language
Lamborghini Design Studio has been present with Montegrappa in all stages of the development of this collection so that the proportions of the car can be recreated without harming the ergonomics and comfort of the pen. The main body of the pen evokes the elongated form and aerodynamics of the Miura body. Elements such as the air intakes on the hood in the role of a pen clip, the grooved lines on the body in the role of engine grills and the ring of the pen cap are designed as a reminder of the side air intakes of the car to express the aesthetics of Gandini (the designer of this car) without showing off.
According to Montegrappa CEO Giuseppe Aquila, the most difficult part of the project was striking a balance between the car's sculptural details and writing comfort; So that the final product is a practical and handy tool, not just a useless decorative replica.
Excellent engineering; From the gold tip to the exclusive leather box
Under this elegant body, very advanced technical parts have been placed. The autographed version of this collection is equipped with a hand-made 18-karat gold nib with a ruthenium coating, on which the official Lamborghini logo is engraved.
This collection comes in three main and nostalgic Miura colors including yellow (Giallo Fly), green (Verde Miura) and black. Even the storage box of this pen is directly inspired by the Miura's luxurious cabin, made of leather and varnished wood to evoke the touch of the leather covers of a classic supercar.
Real limited edition; Rarer than Miura himself!
Montegrappa produces this collection in two versions, self-written and self-written, in 3 colors, and only 60 units of each combination will be made. This means that the total global circulation of this pen will be only 360; A number that is even lower than the circulation of 764 units in the history of Lamborghini Miura!
Although the official price has not been announced yet, speculations suggest a price tag of around $10,000 for this pen. Figures of $5,000 to $6,000 in previous collaborations and today's astronomical price of $1.5 million for the Miura show that this collectible masterpiece is aimed at special buyers and ardent lovers of the automotive world; Those who want to always carry the exciting feeling of the first supercar in their jacket pocket.
