Mazandaran Governor Makes Surprise Field Visit to Sajadrud Dam Site in Babol, Stresses Precise, On-Schedule Execution of Development Projects

The governor of Mazandaran, with his presence in the field at the site of the Sajjarod Babol dam project, closely examined the process of the implementation of this project and emphasized on the accurate, correct implementation of the construction projects of the province in accordance with the plan. ‎

According to Ambassador Arjan of Mazandaran, Mazandaran Governor Mehdi Younesi Rostami visited the construction site of the Sajjarod Babol Dam and visited the implementation process of this project and was informed about the latest status of its implementation.

In this visit, the governor of Mazandaran emphasized the necessity of continuous monitoring of the implementation of construction projects, emphasized the importance of field presence of the officials, removal of possible obstacles and implementation of projects with strict compliance with technical and executive requirements.

The Sajjarod Babol dam construction project is being implemented with the aim of controlling and regulating surface flows, stable water supply and improving the agricultural situation of the region, and it is considered one of the important projects in the field of water resources supply and management in Mazandaran province.

According to the technical specifications of this project, the Sajjadroud river has an annual flow of about 75 million cubic meters, and the construction dam with a reservoir capacity of 21,500,000 cubic meters will provide the possibility of regulating 48,500,000 cubic meters of water annually. This dam is designed as a gravel type with a concrete top and has a height of 70 meters and a crown length of 350 meters.

One of the main goals of this project is to provide 24 million cubic meters of drinking water, allocate 10 million cubic meters for the improvement of agriculture and provide 14 million and 500 thousand cubic meters of environmental needs of the region.

The intrusive presence of the governor of Mazandaran at the implementation site of this project was carried out in continuation of the field management approach of the province to directly examine the implementation process of construction and infrastructure projects and ensure the correct progress of the projects within the framework of the planned plans.
