Esteghlal filed a complaint against Persepolis/Kar Beykh
Acting CEO of Esteghlal, in a sharp reaction to the continuation of the Yaser Asani case, threatened Persepolis with a complaint in the ethics committee and AFC.
Yaser Asani's case and the Persepolis club's complaint against Esteghlal is still one of the controversial subjects of Iranian football, and after the rejection of several clubs' complaints about the presence of this Albanian player in the Esteghlal team, Persepolis's protest is being followed in the appeals committee. Although the decision of the appeals committee in this case has not yet been announced, Ali Tajernia, Acting CEO of Esteghlal, claimed in an interview that this committee also confirmed the decision of the disciplinary committee. Emphasizing the legality of an easy contract, he said that some clubs that are not capable of getting results on the field are seeking to weaken independence by creating margins.
Tajernia said in this regard: both the disciplinary committee of the federation has a vote and we know that the appeal committee has confirmed that vote. Unfortunately, every time a team in our country gets a result and is at peace on the beach and presents a good picture of itself, these margins are formed for it. I think those who raise these issues do not think about the country's national interests at all. Today, Esteghlal football team defends the reputation of Iranian football. When we did not get results in the national team, in the Omid team, or in the other clubs, and today Esteghlal is at the top of the table in the elite league alongside the giants of Asia with investments of several hundred billions, they are making these margins both inside and in Asia, despite the emphasis that the federation officials had on the rival clubs and some of these clubs.
He continued: "We are competing in the Asian Club Cup and Al-Sad team loses 3-0, but he does not protest because he knows the professional and legal issues." Those who create the biggest margins for Esteghlal today know that Esteghlal has no problem, they know that Yasir Asani's contract has no problem and that this sports connection exists, the support of the upper rules in FIFA and AFC always rely on the close relationship of the player with his own club. Yasser Asani is one of the most zealous and loyal players to his club. Asian clubs, which sometimes belong to governments that do not have good relations with us, behave professionally, but in our country, some clubs do these things regardless of their status in Asia. My request to the officials of the federation is to announce the appeal decision as soon as possible and end this debate.
At the end, Tajernia made some sarcastic remarks to the managers of Persepolis and said: "If after the Federation's speech and the appeal committee's decision, they still marginalize independence, we will follow in the ethics committee of the Federation and AFC." Unfortunately, some clubs did not behave professionally and when Mr. Asani had a valid contract with Esteghlal, they started negotiations, and we have documents in this regard, but our whole view is for football to develop in a calm environment. If you see that there are no such confrontations in Esteghlal, it is not because our hands are empty, it is because we think that the honor of Iranian football is to record the results in the green rectangle. Don't doubt and our fans should be relieved that there is no problem, and this is my last warning to the teams that try to weaken Esteghlal Club with this marginalization when they cannot get results on the field and do not have a place in Asia. Naturally, we will use our own capacities after this.
