The GOP lawmaker asked Johnson to investigate the "access to information" of the new socialist lawmakers.

Nicole Malliotakis has warned that the two Democratic Socialists heading to the House of Representatives are a "threat to national security".

Representative Maliotakis criticizes the rise of socialism in the Democratic Party

Democratic Rep. Nicole Malliotakis points to former President Ronald Reagan's warnings about the fragility of freedom on the rapid gains of the Democratic Party's socialists.

New York City's lone Republican in the House of Representatives sounded warnings about the far-left Democrats who will serve alongside him on Capitol Hill next year.

New York City was one of the biggest fronts in the nationwide civil war that engulfed the Democratic Party during the midterm elections. This is where two members of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) won upset primary victories against establishment-backed candidates — in deep blue seats that mean they are virtually guaranteed to win their own general elections in November.

Congress Democrats have warned of a "dangerous" socialist agenda after a far-left primary victory

Darialisa Avila Chevalier defeated Hispanic Congressman Adriano Spaillat, R-N.Y., in her upper Manhattan and Bronx district, while New York State Rep. Claire Valdez won an open race for the Brooklyn-Queens district representing retiring Rep. D.

Both Chevalier and Valdez have called for the repeal of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and have called Israel's war on Gaza "genocide."

DSA co-chair mocked as proud socialists want to abolish senate, national borders, prisons

Malliotakis declared his support for the DSA platform as "un-American" for both.

"I think they want to undermine the country. I mean, anyone whose campaign is based on no prisons, no police, no borders is a real disservice to the country," he said. "These are people who are going to have access to information? I think [Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La.] should really look at it and see if they're a national security threat."

Johnson warns communism 'is on our shores' after far-left candidates win New York primary

And if Republicans win the House majority in November, he asked Johnson to limit the committees the pair can serve on.

"I am very concerned about these members having access to sensitive information and information that, if it falls into the wrong hands, could harm our national security," Maliotakis said.

As the "disrespectful" reception of socialists in the "big tent" is exposed, democratic infighting grows.

Those sentiments are just a preview of what will likely be a historic split in the House next year, regardless of who wins the midterm elections.

The DSA has advocated the repeal of the US Constitution in favor of a new system, as well as the abolition of prisons, the Supreme Court, and the police.

Malliotakis also pointed out that Knight once posted online: "I forgot to get a tissue so I just wiped my hand on the American flag behind me."

But next year, they are set to appear on the same congressional delegation in New York.

"They are so extreme that I don't know where we can find common ground," Maliotakis said. "I don't think I can work with someone who wipes their hands on the American flag because they don't have a tissue."

Trump says 'we're looking' at other Dan Sullivan on Alaska ballot, warns of gubernatorial race

New York gubernatorial debate heats up with Blakeman, Hochul feuding over Trump, asylum status, shooting on ice.

Bipartisan senators called on Trump to rescind the Russian diesel deal, calling it a "betrayal" of America's allies.
