Hashemi: Gratitude for Nurses Should Not Be Limited to Occasions

Shiraz – The head of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, stressing the need to support nurses, said appreciation for their efforts should not be limited to special occasions, and managers should give attention to reducing their work pressures.

Shiraz- President of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, emphasizing the necessity of supporting nurses, said: Appreciation of the efforts of this group should not be limited to occasions, and the reduction of their work pressures should be taken into consideration by managers.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Seyed Basir Hashemi, on Tuesday morning, during the commemoration ceremony of the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH) and Nurses' Week and Day, while congratulating the nursing community on this occasion, he said: "Nurses' Day is an opportunity to preserve the valuable services and efforts of this group of health system employees."

Referring to the role of healthcare workers in the country's critical moments, he added: In critical situations and at different times, various groups have played a role in the field of defending the country and serving the people, and nurses have continued to serve to preserve the health of the people with their responsible presence and continuous efforts.

The president of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences stated that the Iranian nation continues to defend the country with authority despite various threats and pressures, and said: "Salamat Complex also bears the serious responsibility of providing services to the people in this situation."

Hashemi further pointed out the position of Fars province and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in the country's health system and added: Fars is a manifestation of small Iran due to its capacities, historical background and cultural diversity, and Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, as one of the oldest universities in the country, plays an effective role in providing health services, relying on its scientific, therapeutic and specialized human resources.

Appreciating the efforts of the healthcare workers, he noted: the health community has shown in practice that it works to ensure people's health with a sense of responsibility, and these efforts, especially in difficult and critical situations, reveal more than ever the importance of serving in the health system.

The president of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences emphasized the responsibility of managers towards the employees of the health system and continued: Appreciation of the nursing staff should not be limited only to occasions, and the management team of the university, within the framework of existing capacities, strives to reduce difficulties and work pressures and support colleagues.
