Jordan Klepper of 'The Daily Show' Takes On the Midterms in Upcoming Special 'Fingers the Pulse' (Exclusive)
Reporter Re-Enters the World of MAGA.
Jordan Clapper is returning to the world of MAGA activists and die-hards for his next daily special.
The reporter and host will analyze the upcoming midterm elections on The Daily Show Presents: Jordan Klepper Fingers the Pulse: Red Flags, set to air Oct. 26 on Comedy Central. The special is the latest from Klepper's Fingers the Pulse special, which has won two past Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Nonfiction Program.
Here's the full synopsis of the new special: “As the 2026 midterms approach, the MAGA Coalition sees red flags everywhere: sharp declines in poll numbers, an unpopular war with Iran, rising gas prices and a pile of rubble where the East Wing once stood. Jordan Clapper hits the campaign trail, traveling across the country. Can Texans obsessed with God's genitalia and a group of Trump die-hards turned to the MAGA movement hold his crumbling coalition together, or will these red flags lead to a blue wave?

Ahead of his latest special, subtitled Give That Man a Prize (this year's Emmy winner for nonfiction writing), Clapper told The Hollywood Reporter how the half-hour shows allow him to go deeper into a topic than a typical daytime segment.
"You get a chance to have a bigger discussion and go deeper into these conversations." he said We use the man on the street, the conversation in America, as a jumping off point. ... We take those arguments that we see in the streets, and then we test them.
The Daily Show Presents: Jordan Clapper with Pulse Fingers: Red Flags at 11:30 p.m. October 26, after the daily show. It will be broadcast the next day on Paramount+ and The Daily Show YouTube channel.
