A Georgia man who survived cancer and survived a "crazy" car fire just a month ago has died after falling from the Six Flags roller coaster, leaving his heartbroken sister to understand how her brother could survive this long, only to die in a tragic amusement park accident.

Hassan Kareem, 42, died Monday after falling from the 200-foot Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia. His sister, Andrea Clark, 35, told the New York Post on Tuesday that her brother had been recovering from cancer since 2015 and had survived a car fire just weeks before his death.

"He's an amazing person," Clarke told reporters through tears. The most interesting part of me was him.

Clarke, who described her brother as "my hero", called his sudden death "unfair" and said she could not understand how someone who had overcome so much could be gone.

"He had other problems, but he's healthy, he was strong. I don't understand it," he said.

Clarke also recalled her brother's devotion to his loved ones, telling the Post that he worked hard to provide for his family and helped raise his fiancée's daughter, whom she has known since she was 3.

The grieving sister also condemned the release of harrowing images showing her brother's final moments when he fell from the roller coaster and urged people not to share them.

"It's just evil," Clarke told the Post. "It's sad and I feel like we've gone too far as a society."

A deadly 6-flag roller coaster crash could raise broader safety questions as nine rides come closer, attorney says.

Witnesses described the horrific scene where Kareem reportedly fell off the ride, and a parkgoer told local network WXIA that the victim appeared in a souvenir photo taken while riding the roller coaster.

The witness said: He was in our pictures. He fell three times and was hit by a car.

According to the park's website, the Goliath Hypercaster reaches speeds of 70 mph and has a 170-foot initial drop, a 175-foot second drop and a 540-degree spiral.

Atlanta Public Schools confirmed Tuesday that Kareem worked as the district's director of information technology and offered condolences to his family.

Six Flags said it is cooperating with authorities investigating the incident and has temporarily closed similar roller coasters at other parks around the country as a precaution.

Authorities have not yet determined what caused Kareem to fall from the ride.
