Alimohammadi: Waiving the right of retribution requires magnanimity and mental capacity

Imran Alimohammadi, Chief Justice of Lorestan Province, honored the memory of the martyrs, Imam Rahel (RA) and the Martyr Leader, and paid tribute to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyed Mojtabi Hosseini Khamenei, and appreciated the presence of clerics, military and security forces, members of the Security Council, trustees and families of the martyrs.

He stated: holding such circles is a celebration of divine rituals and honoring philanthropy and selflessness. Peace and compromise is not everyone's job and it requires great magnanimity, capacity and talent for a person to waive his inalienable Shariah and legal right.

Chief Justice of Lorestan addressed the parents of Dem and added: Your valuable action is a manifestation of the good tradition of passing away in this region. A society in which there is no past will be a difficult place to live; But the presence of great and forward-looking people who also consider the peace and security of society gives hope to people's lives.

Judicial determination along with promoting the culture of peace and reconciliation

Referring to the judicial system's approach in dealing with the factors of insecurity, Alimohammadi noted: As the servants of the people in the judicial system, we deal decisively with any action that disturbs the peace of the society. At the same time, we are grateful to the people who teach the society a lesson of sacrifice with their forgiveness and magnanimity.

Pointing to the place of peace in religious teachings, he clarified: restorative justice means using people's capacities to bring the conflicting parties closer together and resolve their concerns. Peace and reconciliation should not be limited only to cases of self-retribution, but should be extended to all aspects of social life.

Expansion of peace delegations in mosques, offices and production units

Chief of Justice of Lorestan province emphasized the need to strengthen the culture of mediation in the society and said: We expect the elders, elders and trustees to expand the circle of peace and compromise so that property, business, family disputes and even minor work environment issues do not turn into crises.

He added: The judicial system of the province is expanding and establishing peace committees in different parts of the society, including mosques, offices, factories and guilds. In family disputes, elders can mediate using their experience to resolve disputes and prevent the collapse of families.

In another part of his speech, Alimohammadi emphasized the necessity of teaching anger control skills to the young generation and said: We must teach our children in families, schools and universities not to show emotional reactions to adversity and harsh words.

He continued: Patience, tolerance and paying attention to the way of Ahl al-Bayt (AS) in facing problems can prevent the occurrence of irreparable social damages.

Lorestan; A pioneer in promoting the culture of forgiveness and reconciliation

Referring to the cultural background of this province in the field of peace and brotherhood, the Chief Justice of Lorestan said: Lorestan has been the origin of peace, reconciliation and brotherhood for a long time and we are trying to provide a better opportunity for citizens to benefit from the legal capacities of dispute resolution by organizing more.
