Naming October 14, World Standard Day, is an opportunity to emphasize the place of standardization in industrial development, technological progress, improving product quality and strengthening the competitiveness of countries. In today's world, a standard is not just a set of technical criteria and criteria; Rather, it is the common language of science and industry, a measure of quality and one of the foundations of trust, reliability and sustainable progress.

The experience of the recent war showed once again that in the field of defense, quality and standard are the components that determine the performance of equipment and systems. The higher the quality of design, manufacturing, testing and evaluation of products, the better the scope for increasing their accuracy, reliability and effectiveness. From this point of view, the real field is a test for evaluating industrial and technological capacities and measuring the degree of compliance of products with operational requirements; A valuable experience that should lead to the promotion of national and defense standards with a scientific and systematic approach.

In the defense industry, the need to increase the speed of research, technology development and production, never means less attention to quality and standards. Acceleration in production leads to real strengthening of defense power when it is accompanied by maintaining quality, meeting technical requirements and ensuring product performance. Based on this, one of the necessities of the defense industry today is to create a smart balance between the speed of responding to the needs of the armed forces, the considerations of defense economy and war economy, resource efficiency and quality assurance at the highest possible level.

The development of local capacities and the localization of strategic technologies also require the development and updating of standards and regulations that are appropriate to the conditions, capabilities and needs of the country. These standards should be formulated based on current knowledge, scientific principles, experiences from the field of practice and intelligent use of internationally recognized achievements in order to support innovation and domestic production, and provide the basis for continuous improvement of product quality and reliability. Localization reaches real maturity when, in addition to acquiring design and manufacturing knowledge, the ability to evaluate, test, control quality, and continuously improve products is also institutionalized inside the country.
