From Doha and Muscat to Al-Quds city/ the confrontation of two representatives of Asia with two completely different situations
Esteghlal and Golgohar will face each other in the Premier League on Monday after experiencing different results in the Asian tournament.
According to "Verzeh Se", Esteghlal left Doha with a great victory. The Blues won 2-1 at Al-Gharafa House with goals from Yaser Asani and Hossein Gudarzi, celebrated their second consecutive win in the elite league and returned to Tehran with six full points.
But Golgohar had a different night in the second level of the Asian Champions League. Mehdi Rahmati's students were defeated by Al Muharraq in Bahrain by two goals at Al Seeb Stadium in Oman and could not transfer their successful process in the Premier League to Asia. This defeat came after two consecutive three-goal wins by Golgohar in domestic competitions.
Esteghlal has had two more days of rest than its opponent. The Blues played against Al-Gharafa on Monday and Golgohar played against Al-Muharraq on Wednesday. Sirjani club wanted to postpone the match, but Esteghlal did not agree to this request considering the existing distance and their tight future schedule.
Now Esteghlal enters the field with the spirit of two Asian wins and the title of the only unbeaten team in the league, and Golgohar is looking to make up for his failure in Oman. The result of the Quds match can determine which representative of Iran has left the Asian competition space faster and returned his focus to the Premier League.
