Any disruptive thought entering Iran will be suppressed immediately. This is the headline taken from the interview of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi with the famous magazine Newsweek on Wednesday, 24 October 1353.

In this interview, Shah emphasized that the Iranian Navy will be stationed in the Indian Ocean and added that the way to operate in Iran is open to political parties provided they do not take orders from outside and said that our lives, Japan and Europe depend on the future of the Persian Gulf, and if others cannot guarantee its stability, we will do it ourselves, and if a group of smart people in America think that they can dictate to us, believe that they will retaliate.

Newsweek magazine also wrote in an extended note about Iran that Iran has formed the world's largest hovercraft fleet in the Persian Gulf and that Iran wants to follow the path that Japan has taken in 100 years in 25 years.

In another headline, the information reported about the armed clash on the Iran-Iraq border, where an Iranian farmer and three Iraqi aggressors were killed.

Iranian authorities denied the report of the Washington Post newspaper and said that Iran will not accept the reduction of oil prices.

We turn the page of the newspaper to the last page when we reach the news entitled "Iran requests to hold the Olympics" and its text is as follows;

After successfully holding the Asian Games in 1974, Iran will request to hold the Olympic Games in 1984 and host the World Student Games in 1983.

This news was announced last night by Deputy Prime Minister and Head of Physical Education Organization Assistant Lieutenant General Hojjat Kashani in his speech at a banquet organized for the victory of the Iranian national football team at the Aria Sheraton Hotel.

He added that Iran is confident of accepting its proposal to hold both games and further said;

We could even host the Olympic Games in 1980 because we were confident that we would win over both the other cities that applied for this period of games, namely Los Angeles and Moscow. But we don't expect any competitors for the 1984 games.

Timsar Hojjat also stated that it is very likely that these games will be held in Tehran in 1983.

Iran first volunteered to host the 1980 Olympic Games last year, which was later withdrawn. However, during the Asian Games, when the head of the International Olympic Committee came to Tehran, observing the quality of the Games, he assured that Iran can host the Olympic Games with great merit.
