Tree Protection Cannot Be Achieved Through Establishing Bodies / Protecting Kan Gardens Requires the Cooperation of All

Members of the Tehran City Council, reviewing the plan to form a participatory coordination headquarters to address the challenges facing District 5's gardens, including Kan, Koohsar, Farahzad, Hesarak and Letman, stressed the need to protect the gardens and coordinate among responsible agencies. However, differing views were raised on the necessity of creating a new administrative structure, the role of the district municipality, and the scope of authority of the proposed body.

The members of Tehran Islamic Council emphasized the necessity of protecting the gardens and coordination between the responsible agencies during the review of the plan for the formation of a cooperative and coordination center to deal with the challenges of gardens in Region 5, including Ken, Kohsar, Farahzad, Hesarek and Letman gardens. However, different views were raised about the necessity of creating a new administrative structure, the position of the regional municipality and the limits of the powers of the proposed institution.
