The list of the latest Galaxy phones receiving Samsung's Android 17 update has finally expanded with the addition of old flagships and some popular mid-range ones so that users can be informed about the status of their device's software support.
According to Ambassador Arjan, the South Korean technology giant, after an initial delay in the beginning of the upgrade process, has greatly increased the speed of releasing the latest software version. Currently, old eligible Samsung flagships are experiencing this new operating system along with some of the cheapest products on the market. Of course, the global firmware release process is done in stages and some regions may get access to the download package a little later.
Support for traditional S-series flagships is now fully operational and includes the following products:
Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, S26 Ultra and S26 FE model (Samsung Galaxy S26 Series)
Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra, S25FA and S25 Edge version
Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, Samsung S24 Ultra and S24 FA
Galaxy S23 family, S23 Plus and S23 Ultra model
Another part of the upgrade list is dedicated to flexible and economical phones in the market:
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z TriFold flexible phone
Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 (Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6)
Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 folding model
Galaxy A57, A56, Galaxy A37, A36 and also the cheap Galaxy A27
With full coverage of high-end phones, the Korean giant's current focus is on the mid-market and budget devices. So far, no tablet from the Galaxy series has received this update, which is unexpected. Users can follow the path of settings and then software updates to check this package manually.
