Registration of 31.5 million people in "Janfada" campaign/ campaign spokesperson: We used to say to ourselves that if 20 million people register, Imam Khomeini's wish will come true, but then...
The spokesperson of Janfada campaign said: At the beginning, we thought that maybe 15 million people would join this campaign. We even said to ourselves that if this number reaches 20 million people, it can be mentioned as the fulfillment of Imam Khomeini's (RA) wish to form an army of 20 million people. But in the middle of the journey, the leader of the revolution also entered into this issue and by repeating the keyword "sacrifice" in various messages, they gave it more meaning and status.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Puish, Janfada started his work during the Ramadan war, and during that time, it was decided that those who volunteered to defend the homeland and be on the battlefield should register. The reception of this campaign exceeded expectations and finally 31 million 500 thousand people registered in this campaign.
According to Fars, Sasan Zare, the spokesperson of Janfada campaign, raised some points about its various aspects as well as the details of the campaign, the most important parts of which you can read below:
* The idea of forming the campaign "Sacrifice life for Iran" was not the result of the decision or initiative of a particular person, but it was formed from the social and media experiences of the past years and the observation of the society. In these years, we had various experiences in the field of social and media campaigns and we came to the conclusion that campaigns are more successful if they are formed in the social field before entering the media and are favored by people. Sometimes we want to promote a concept in the society and for this we start from the media, but in other cases, we first observe the field to see what the society has to say and what issue it supports. Experience has shown that campaigns that are formed from people's desires and feelings have a greater capacity to become widespread.
*If we look at the early years of the revolution, we see that many popular movements and service streams that were later organized in the form of revolutionary institutions were formed before the Imam's decree was issued. Constructive Jihad first appeared in the field and then Imam gave it a coefficient. The public mobilization was first formed in the context of the society and then expanded with the support of the Imam and the support of the media.
*In the beginning, we thought that maybe 15 million people would join this campaign. This incident helped to form a serious jump in the campaign and the number of followers reached 31 million and 500 thousand people.
*In my opinion, the importance of this welcome was not only summed up in the number of people who registered, but the campaign "Sacrifice for Iran" showed an image of Iranian society that was fundamentally different from the image that the enemy was trying to present of Iran. The enemy wanted to show the Iranian society as disorganized, fragmented, passive and ready to surrender, but the acceptance of this campaign envisioned a different image: a society that can reach a common point on the issue of defending the country, express its sense of collective belonging, and declare its readiness to face threats.
* In a historical narration, it is stated that when Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (a.s.) was returning from the battle of Safin, one of the elders of that time told him that he did not fight for his benefit, nor for Muawiya's benefit. In response, the Prophet said: "Khazlawa al-Haqq wallam yansur-e al-Batil", which means you left the truth alone and did not help it, although you did not help falsehood either. This narrative shows that in some historical situations, simply not engaging with the false front is not enough; Rather, one should define his position in support of the right. In the case of Janfada, the situation progressed in such a way that people felt they had to define their position and stand in defense of Iran.
*We had invited the broadcasting colleagues to be present on the day when the system was made available. The goal was to be able to organize a thousand primary military battalions. Those who are familiar with military affairs know what a significant capacity a thousand battalions create and how important it is in terms of deterrence. Our idea was that if we activate the system at five o'clock in the afternoon, the capacity of a thousand battalions will be completed by 12 o'clock at night; Especially since the initial advertising was also limited to one or two days and actions such as sending SMS and broadcasting TV subtitles. But contrary to expectations, the predicted capacity was completed in less than 100 minutes.
*Sacrifice becomes meaningful during problem solving operations. If we want to convert 30 million people into a single organizational structure, we will face the diverse reality of society. Some of these people are members of Basij, a group is active in the Red Crescent and some of them serve the society in the form of spontaneous cultural and social movements. Each of these collections has its own identity, experience and mechanism of activity. Not all of these people are going to be separated from their current structures or placed in new organizations. Janfada can be considered as a common identity and an inclusive umbrella under which different people and groups can gather while maintaining their capacities and identities.
*In my opinion, an important point that we should pay more attention to is the intelligent, purposeful and maximum use of the capacity of the "envoy nation"; The capacity of which sacrifice is one of its examples and the presence of people in the field is another manifestation of it. I think that one of the biggest and most urgent concerns of the leader of the revolution should be how to properly use this huge social capacity. The issue is not only that people come to the field at a critical moment or register in a campaign; The issue is how to turn this general readiness and motivation into effective, continuous and purposeful participation in solving the country's problems.
