Rajaeinia: North Khorasan Market Being Monitored Intelligently

Bojnourd – Deputy Governor for Economic Coordination of North Khorasan emphasized the need to establish intelligent market monitoring and to identify the causes of rising commodity prices in the province.

According to Mehr reporter, Hadi Rajainia said on Tuesday morning at the meeting of North Khorasan State Penalty Commission which was held in the governor's meeting hall: Part of the increase in prices is due to macroeconomic issues and the growth of the cost of supplying goods, but in some cases, weak infrastructure, the existence of monopoly, and the lack of effective supervision play a role in the increase in prices.

He added: Regarding the goods that have a high contribution to the increase in inflation, the causes of high prices should be identified and appropriate corrective measures should be adopted through expert and detailed investigation.

The deputy economic affairs coordinator of North Khorasan governor emphasized the necessity of continuous monitoring of commodity inflation and declared: this year, in addition to intensifying monitoring, serious entry into priority and effective commodity groups is on the agenda, and to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of market monitoring, intelligent monitoring must be implemented in all commodity groups.

Rajainia considered science and technology park and knowledge-based and technological companies as important capacities of the province to realize this goal and emphasized the necessity of using the specialized power of these complexes in making the monitoring processes smarter.

Referring to the 345% increase in market monitoring in the first six months of this year compared to the same period last year, he pointed out that monitoring of inflation should continue continuously and in detail, and besides dealing with overselling, the factors affecting the increase in prices at the market level and the micro economy should also be identified and corrected.

Referring to the inflation situation of the province, the Deputy Coordinator of Economic Affairs of North Khorasan Governor said: The monthly inflation rate of North Khorasan in September this year was recorded at 2.5%. Meanwhile, the country's monthly inflation rate was 4.2% this month.

In this meeting, the supply and distribution chain of fruit and vegetables was examined with the presence of related trade unions and various aspects of the supply process until the supply of these products in the market were discussed and exchanged.
