According to Mehr reporter, Tajuddin Salehian, in a meeting with the presidents of the universities and cultural institutions of the province on Tuesday evening, while honoring the memory of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, especially the martyrs of the recent war and the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, explained the current situation of the country, the region and international developments and emphasized the need to maintain national unity, solidarity and cohesion as one of the most important components of the country's authority and security.

By explaining the current conditions of the country and describing the dimensions and consequences of recent developments, he emphasized the role and responsibility of cultural and academic institutions in strengthening national cohesion, maintaining social capital and protecting public unity and solidarity, and demanded to avoid any comments, positions and divisive behavior in the society.

Referring to the identity components of the country, especially Iranian and Islamic identity and the need to strengthen the bond and synergy between the two, the political and security deputy of the governorate emphasized the need to strengthen social solidarity and safeguard the achievements of the recent war and said: Accordingly, maintaining and promoting social capital requires serious efforts by all executive, cultural and academic institutions, strengthening the spirit of empathy and social responsibility, and adopting effective approaches to strengthen social bonds and increase public trust.

Tajuddin Salehian, referring to the position of universities and the need to play an active role of students and professors in the management of social space, emphasized on providing a suitable context for dialogue, constructive interaction and their active participation in various issues and the role of their scientific, intellectual and social authority in shaping public opinion.

He also emphasized the responsibility of university presidents in intelligently managing the academic environment, strengthening social vitality and hope, realistically explaining the conditions of the country, preventing the formation of a bipolar environment, and strengthening the spirit of solidarity and responsibility among academics.

In another part of his speech, Salehian pointed out the decisive role of cultural institutions in directing the public space of the society and the need for coordination, interaction and synergy between universities, the General Department of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Islamic Propaganda Organization and other related institutions and called for the use of the cultural, social, scientific and media capacities of the province to strengthen national cohesion, promote the discourse of empathy and unity, deal with divisive narratives and raise the general awareness of the society.

In the end, he called for the adoption of a responsible, coordinated approach based on the needs of the society, the protection of social capital and the strengthening of public trust, the maintenance of peace and the consolidation of national unity by the managers and cultural and academic trustees of the province, and the promotion of the resilience of the society against possible threats.
