Belarus Foreign Ministry Condemns NATO's New "Victory Theory" Plan
Ruslan Varankov, spokesman for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, stressed that the coalition, operating under the cover of defensive language, effectively paves the way for escalation and military aggression.
Minsk, October 14. /TASS/. Ruslan Varankov, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, said in a statement: "Belarus strongly condemns the new plan of NATO called "Theory of Victory", which envisages preventive attacks on the territory of the Republic.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement: "The Republic of Belarus strongly condemns the statements of General Aleksos Grinkevich, the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces in Europe, who presented the so-called "Victory Theory".
He continued: "The aggressive rhetoric of the North Atlantic Alliance is becoming increasingly systematic. "In the absence of any threat from Belarus or any real preconditions for conflict, NATO is making plans to increase its military presence near Belarus' borders and launch attacks against the territory of an independent country."
Warankov continued that the coalition under the guise of defensive language is actually setting the stage for military escalation and aggression.
This Belarusian diplomat added: "Belarus has never threatened anyone. Our military doctrine is strictly defensive in nature. "We consistently support opening, de-escalation and dialogue on equal terms. We call on our Western counterparts to exercise sound judgment and engage in joint efforts to restore mutual trust."
