Iran's historical experience does not allow the Golestan and Turkmanchai contracts to be repeated

Tabriz - Tabriz temporary imam, referring to the historical experience of Golestan and Turkmanchai agreements, emphasized: The Iranian nation, relying on its defense power and national unity, will not allow the repetition of such agreements.

According to Mehr reporter, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimin Ismail Roshantan, in his Friday prayer sermons this week in Tabriz, which was held in the Grand Mosque of Imam Khomeini (RA), emphasized the necessity of observing divine piety, considered prayer as one of the most important ways to improve individual and social morals, and emphasized the need to maintain defense readiness, strengthen national unity, and pay attention to the rights of hijab students in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Referring to the importance of piety in personal and social life, he said: Observance of divine limits should be reflected in speech, behavior, responsibility, how to manage public affairs, use of people's property, and how to spend time. Piety can keep people away from moral harm and guide them in the right direction when faced with personal, social, economic and political problems.

Referring to the position of man in the teachings of the Holy Quran, the temporary imam of Tabriz considered the purpose of creation to be God's servant and to move in the path of perfection and said: the realization of this goal requires the cultivation of moral virtues and avoidance of vices, and man should strive to improve his behavior and refine his soul.

Roshanton introduced prayer as one of the most important Quranic solutions for moral reform and, referring to the verses of Surah Ma'araj about human characteristics, he stated: Humans may become impatient with problems and become stingy and refrain from giving when they have facilities and blessings, but a true worshiper must distance himself from such characteristics.

Citing the verse "إِنَّ الْإنْسَانَ خلْقَ حلوعُ" he added: In Quranic teachings, greed and impatience have been introduced as characteristics that humans should try to correct. If prayer is accompanied by practical attention and adherence, it can be effective in controlling these tendencies and strengthening the spirit of patience, charity and responsibility.

The imam of the temporary Juma'ah of Tabriz, referring to the verse "In the prayer forbids obscenity and evildoing", clarified: One of the important effects of prayer is to prevent a person from sin and immoral behavior. Therefore, the effects of this worship should be visible in people's lives and social relationships.

Quoting the moral advice of Ayatollah Sheikh Hasan Ali Nakhodaki Isfahani, Roshantan emphasized the importance of offering prayers at the appointed time and said: "Early prayer is one of the recommendations emphasized by the scholars of ethics, and daily troubles should not be an excuse for neglecting it."

He also considered the night prayer as one of the factors that strengthen spirituality and purify the soul and asked the worshipers to pay attention to this worship if the conditions are available.

Referring to the warning of the Holy Qur'an about neglecting prayer, Tabriz's Interim Friday Imam pointed out that spreading the culture of prayer should be considered in families, mosques and the social environment, and offering prayers at the appointed time and attending congregational prayers are behaviors that should have a specific place in the lives of believers.

Justice and belief in the resurrection in the correction of human behavior

Roshantan further considered justice and strengthening faith in the Day of Judgment as other effective factors in self-improvement and stated: Observance of justice in personal, social, economic and political relationships can prevent the occurrence of many wrong behaviors.

He stated that paying attention to the audit of actions makes a person more responsible for his behavior, and added: The remembrance of death and resurrection should be considered in decisions and social relationships so that people do not neglect the rights of others and adhere to moral principles in fulfilling their responsibilities.

The school of Hazrat Zainab (pbuh), a model of standing and preserving dignity

In another part of his sermons, the Imam of the Tabriz temporary Friday, by congratulating the birth anniversary of Hazrat Zainab Kobari (PBUH) and honoring Nurses' Day, appreciated the efforts of nurses in caring for patients and honored the memory of martyred nurses.

Referring to the position of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH) in the history of Islam, he considered her school as a model for maintaining dignity, standing against oppression and overcoming difficulties and said: Iran's nation, in facing crises, has been able to overcome difficult situations and turn threats into opportunities by relying on religious teachings and the spirit of resistance.

Referring to the nightly presence of people in the streets of different cities of Iran, especially Tabriz, Roshantan said: This presence shows the resistance of the people against pressures and threats, and the Iranian nation, inspired by the school of Hazrat Zainab (PBUH), emphasizes on preserving the honor, national identity and status of the country.

Criticism of banning veiled students from studying in the Republic of Azerbaijan

In another part of his speech, Tabriz interim imam, referring to the reports and pictures published about the prevention of hijab girls from studying in the Republic of Azerbaijan, demanded that the authorities of this country reconsider the policies related to the covering of students.

Criticizing the fact that students are deprived of education due to the observance of hijab, he emphasized the need to respect their rights and said: preventing the presence of veiled girls in schools is an issue that must be reviewed by the relevant authorities.

Referring to the historical experience of discovering the hijab during Reza Shah's era, Roshanten warned about the social and cultural consequences of restrictive policies in the field of veiling and demanded that the authorities of the Republic of Azerbaijan pay attention to the demands of families and students.

He also emphasized the necessity of pursuing this issue by Islamic countries and demanded to support the rights of Muslim women and students.

Golestan and Turkmanchai contracts; Lessons for today's decisions

Referring to the contracts of Golestan and Turkmanchai, the interim imam of Tabriz called these historical events a reminder of the damages that have been inflicted on Iran in the past.

Referring to the political and military conditions of Iran during the period of concluding these contracts, he said: the examination of historical experiences should be taken into account in today's decisions of the country, and similar conditions should not be allowed to repeat.

Referring to the discussion of negotiations and the possibility of new agreements, Roshanten stated: Iran today, relying on its human capacities, armed forces, mobilization forces and defense power, has different conditions from the past historical periods.

Emphasizing that the Iranian nation has not forgotten the experience of Golestan and Turkmanchai agreements, he said: Iranian people will not allow such agreements to be repeated and the country's interests and independence will be harmed.

In the final part of his speech, Roshantan, referring to the verses of the Holy Qur'an about the necessity of preparation against the enemy, considered it necessary to be alert and maintain defensive capabilities.

Referring to the verses of the Qur'an about preparation against the possible attacks of enemies, he stated: Enemies may use neglect and reduced preparation to advance their goals. Therefore, maintaining readiness and strengthening defense power should always be considered.

Tabriz interim imam, emphasizing the need to strengthen the country's defense capabilities, added: The teachings of the Holy Quran emphasize preparation against threats, and this preparation is part of the requirements for protecting the society and dealing with possible dangers.

He also considered the unity, cohesion and insight of the people as important factors in dealing with external pressures and emphasized the necessity of maintaining national solidarity against the threats of America and the Zionist regime.

In the end, Roshanten considered public vigilance and people's cooperation with the country's defense forces to be necessary to protect Iran's security and independence.
