Washington and Tel Aviv Back Lebanon's Ambassador to the US Following Lawsuit
The US and the Israeli regime voiced concern over a lawsuit filed by a Lebanese lawyer against Lebanon's ambassador to the US, accusing him of being a party to the normalization talks with Lebanon.
The United States and the Zionist regime expressed concern over the filing of a lawsuit by a Lebanese lawyer against the Lebanese ambassador to the United States as the agent of the negotiations, following the reconciliation negotiations with Lebanon.
According to Ambassador Arjan's report, the Zionist newspaper "Jerusalem Post" wrote that the complaint filed by Hassan Adel Bezi, a Lebanese attorney, against Nadi Hamadeh Mouawad, the Lebanese ambassador in Washington, was referred by the Lebanese Attorney General to the government commissioner in the military court to examine possible legal measures.
The newspaper added that it is not yet clear whether the complaint will lead to prosecution or whether the case will be closed.
The Jerusalem Post noted that the case raised concerns in Tel Aviv that the complaint was an attempt to intimidate officials involved in the normalization talks between Lebanon and the Zionist regime; This may complicate the diplomatic efforts between the two countries in the shadow of political and security tensions in Lebanon.
On the other hand, a spokesperson of the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized in an interview with "Al-Arabiya" channel that Washington is aware of the complaint submitted by a lawyer supporting "Hezbollah" against Nadi Hamadeh Mouawad, the Lebanese ambassador to this country.
By fully supporting the mercenary of the Lebanese government in the negotiations to normalize relations with the Zionist regime, he called the military court's handling of a complaint against the Lebanese ambassador in Washington shameful and claimed that the Lebanese military judicial system should use its limited resources to pursue the elements of "Hezbollah" who are conspiring against the Lebanese government and people instead of prosecuting those who work for the benefit of Lebanon!
The spokesperson of the US State Department stated that the laws and procedures that allow such political trials should be canceled by interfering in the internal and judicial affairs of Lebanon. Washington has no more patience for such disruptions.
Before this, the Zionist channel Kan, citing Arabic sources, announced that the Lebanese ambassador to the United States, Nadi Abd Hammade Mouawad, contacted him after the son of the Zionist ambassador to Washington, Yehiel Leiter, was injured in a surveillance operation in the occupied territories, and while condemning the said operation, he expressed his sympathy to the Israeli ambassador.
This happens in a situation where according to the constitution of Lebanon, the Zionist regime is considered a hostile state and any direct contact and communication with the officials of this regime is prosecuted.
