Legal Team Watching Esteghlal Cases / Tajernia Promises Four New Signings
Esteghlal board chairman says club executives are pursuing legal cases to prevent another transfer window closure and will strengthen the squad in several positions in line with the head coach's views.
According to "Varzesh Se", the closing of the transfer window was one of the most important problems of Esteghlal at the beginning of the season, and Sohrab Bakhtiarizadeh had to enter the competition without recruiting a new player. With half-time approaching, there have been concerns about the impact of further legal cases on the club's window, but Ali Taghernia has revealed steps are being taken to prevent a repeat of this.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors and Acting CEO of Esteghlal regarding the concern about the re-closing of the transfer window of the Blues said: "We, like the fans, have this concern. In this regard, the legal council of the club was formed with the presence of people who are experts in domestic law, international law and sports law. We also held a meeting last week. Rest assured, we will not allow this to happen again."
He continued: "Estiqlal has passed its disciplinary punishment by closing the window in two terms. The decision of some cases may be postponed until after the half term, and we are conducting negotiations on a number of others to resolve the problem through compromise. We follow these issues seriously and we have a lot of hope that the independence window will not be closed again."
Referring to the beginning of the club's transfer programs, Esteghlal's acting CEO said: "We have started recruiting two players (Khalifa and Guderzi) before the start of the half-season, and naturally, we plan to recruit three or four more players with the head coach's opinion. "We are moving this program forward with the approach that we are sure, hoping to God, we can recruit good players in the half-season."
Tajernia said about Esteghlal's desired positions: "The final opinion belongs to the head coach, but what is certain is that we definitely want to strengthen ourselves in the forward position. We also have plans for attacking midfielders and some defensive positions. "This decision is not due to a lack of players and our goal is to increase the strength and quality of the team."
He continued: "Estiqlal is under a lot of pressure in terms of the number of matches. We are present in the Premier League and the Asian Elite League, and the elimination cup may also be added to this program. Now we have a match every four days on average and we really need to rest the players and use the full capacity of the team. That's why we are looking to complete the team."
