We Gave Everything/ Al-Shamal Coach Pleased: We Held Tractor

Al-Shamal's Spanish coach expressed satisfaction with his players' performance after a goalless draw against Tractor, calling Javad Nekounam's side a big and powerful opponent.

According to "Varzesh Se", the meeting between Tractor Iran and Shamal Qatar in the second week of the league stage of the Asian Elite League ended with a goalless draw. The match was hosted by the representative of Iran at the Sultan Qaboos Stadium in Muscat, and both teams could not open each other's goal despite creating several good chances.

In the second half, Tractor got better opportunities to score, but Babakar Sek's reactions prevented Javad Nekonam's students from excelling. Al-Shamal also threatened Iran's representative's goal on counter-attacks in the minutes of the match and finally won their second consecutive draw in this competition. In the first week, this team had a 1-1 draw against Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia.

"We had a difficult game against a big and strong team that has quality players," said David Prats, the Spanish head coach of Al Shamal, after the match. However, we managed to contain the dangerous tractor nuts and put on a good show. "Our players played with a high spirit and despite the heat, they gave their all on the field."

He continued: "We had limited opportunities that we could have used better, but overall I am satisfied with the performance of the team and the final result. Shamal's players appeared with motivation and a positive approach against a good team and one of the strongest opponents of the Iranian League.

Head coach Al-Shamal also explained about his team's next match against Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia: "Without a doubt, another tough game is waiting for us. We will try to repeat the same good performance we presented in the first two matches and perform better in the next match."

Prats concluded: "Asia Elite League is a very important competition for us, especially since we are participating in it for the first time. "Our goal is to advance to the next stage, although we know that there are strong teams in the tournament and all the matches will be difficult."
