Breya Fibo
Studio Ghibli's Hayao Miyazaki strongly opposes generative artificial intelligence. Ironically, using ChatGPT to recreate personal photos in Miyazaki's trademark animation style has become a viral trend. This year, instead of debunking infringement arguments, artificial intelligence company Bria launched Fibo, a tool that pays artists' royalties to original source creators. "We understand which data was used for the newly generated image, and then compensate the creator of the original image," says Bria CEO and founder Yair Adato. The tool even cites and provides access to the exact source of inspiration for everything it produces.
