Conference on Law and Literature: Revisiting Shahnameh and Iran's Literary Heritage from a Fresh Perspective

This major conference on law and literature, focusing on legal and social concepts in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, Saadi's Golestan, and other classical Persian works, aims to open a new perspective on literary heritage and its connection to legal knowledge.

The great conference of law and literature, with the focus on examining legal and social concepts in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, Golestan Saadi and other Persian classics, seeks to open a new window to literary heritage and link it with legal knowledge.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan Mohammad Rasouli, researcher of literature and jurist and secretary of the great conference of law and literature, referring to the holding of this event on Wednesday, November 6, he stated: This conference will be held with the presence of a group of researchers, lawyers and literature enthusiasts. Examining legal concepts in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh, Saadi's Golestan and other Persian classics is one of the main focuses of this event.

Stating that there is a close connection between literature and legal knowledge, he added: This connection can be seen both in the concepts and topics reflected in literary works and in the need for legal knowledge in a precise, clear and stable language.

Rasouli said: Ferdowsi's Shahnameh cannot be considered merely an epic work, this work, along with Pahlavi narratives, has significant capacities for examining concepts such as justice, morality, and social responsibility. Paying attention to these aspects can provide a context for rereading Iran's literary heritage from a less studied perspective.

The secretary of the conference also emphasized the capacity of works such as Golestan Saadi and Khwaja Nizam al-Molk's policy for studying social and legal concepts and continued: Examining these works can help to better understand the connection between literature, culture and legal thought in the intellectual tradition of Iran.

He added: The history of law in literary texts, legal vocabulary in Persian poetry and the examination of legal concepts in classical works are among the topics that will be discussed in this conference. And it is hoped that this event will be the beginning for the expansion of interdisciplinary studies and the formation of a specialized working group on law and literature.

The secretary of the conference also said: The speeches, articles and views presented in this event are going to be collected and published in the form of a book to provide the basis for the continuation of research in this field.
