Semnan Province’s Nights of Authority Reach Station 227

SHAHROUD – The 227th Night of Authority of the people of Shahroud was held at Imam Khomeini Square, where attendees condemned recent remarks by the US Secretary of State with anti-American slogans.

According to Mehr reporter, pious and God-seeking people of Semnan province on Tuesday evening, in continuation of the series of gatherings of the Nights of Authority and Fortitude, whose number has exceeded 220 nights, once again reacted to the statements of Marco Rubio, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United States, by chanting anti-American slogans.

The people of Semnan, attending the meetings of the Nights of Authority and Strength, chanted anti-arrogance slogans and expressed their protest against the recent statements of the US Secretary of State.

Rubio's statements about the history of Iran and Ancient Greece and some historical references about Iranians have caused reactions among the officials of the country. In this regard, the people of Semnan province also expressed their opposition to these statements by chanting anti-American slogans in the gatherings of the nights of power.

The 227th Shahrood People's Power Night was also held on Tuesday evening in Imam Khomeini Square of this city and the participants chanted the slogan "Death to America" and expressed their protest against the foreign minister's statement.

In the meantime, Semnan province officials also reacted to Rubio's statements. Hojjat-ul-Islam Morteza Matiei, the representative of the religious jurist in the province and the Friday imam of Semnan, on the sidelines of the gathering of the authority of the people of Semnan, considered these statements baseless and appreciated the presence of the people in these gatherings.

Pointing to the presence of different classes of people in the gatherings of the Nights of Power, Matiei said: People with different tastes and appearances attend these gatherings, but they all display the excitement of national zeal.

Mohammad Javad Koulivand, the governor of Semnan, also condemned the statements of the US foreign minister and said that the enemy will not get anywhere by adopting such strategies.

Reports from other cities of Semnan province also indicate that people attended gatherings of authority and strength nights and chanted anti-American slogans in response to Rubio's recent statements.
