Weather Alert Issued Nationwide: Which Regions Will the New Precipitation System Affect?

The Meteorological Organization issued special safety guidelines for travelers and citizens, forecasting showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds.

A rain system will affect parts of 22 provinces from Thursday to Sunday, and showers, thunderstorms and strong winds are predicted. The meteorologist has asked citizens to avoid stopping on the banks of rivers and canals and to be more careful when traveling outside the city.

This system will be active from Thursday in the provinces of East and West Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Markazi, Hamadan, Zanjan, Tehran, Alborz, Qazvin, Lorestan, Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Semnan, West Isfahan, the southern half of Kerman, Sistan and Baluchistan and the highlands of Hormozgan.

Rains will continue on Friday in the provinces of Ardabil, East and West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Lorestan, Zanjan, Markazi, Hamadan, Qazvin, Alborz, Tehran, Gilan, Mazandaran, the western half of Kerman, South Hormozgan and parts of Khuzestan, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari.

Ambassador Arjan wrote: For Saturday, the activity of the rain system is predicted in Ardabil, East and West Azerbaijan, Kurdistan, Kermanshah, Ilam, Lorestan, Zanjan, Qazvin, Markazi, Hamadan, Tehran, Alborz, Gilan, the western half of Mazandaran, South Kerman and Hormozgan.

Also, on Sunday, the northern half of the provinces of East and West Azerbaijan, Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, North Khorasan, Razavi Khorasan, Isfahan, Kermanshah, Lorestan, South Kerman, Hormozgan and Fars will be affected by this system.

According to meteorological recommendations, citizens should refrain from stopping and settling on the banks of rivers and canals during the activity of these systems and be careful in trips outside the city.

Also, compliance with safety points in agricultural, recreational and nature tourism activities, collection and transfer of agricultural products and preparation of relief forces and municipalities are emphasized.

During strong winds, it is also recommended to avoid parking cars next to trees and temporary structures, advertising signs and covering greenhouses, and to be more cautious in road traffic.
