Britain's reform leader says he will reconsider aid to Ukraine because of corruption there

Nigel Farage described Ukraine as one of the most corrupt countries in the world

London, October 12. /TASS/. Britain's Reform Party leader Nigel Farage says if his party wins power in the UK, he may review aid to Ukraine amid rampant corruption in the country.

Speaking at a press conference on his party's plan to reform Britain's asylum system, he said: "I have never said we shouldn't support Ukraine. But I have said I will be looking closely to make sure British taxpayers' money is not being swallowed up in corruption."

According to Farage, Ukraine is "one of the most corrupt countries on earth" and Vladimir Zelensky and his government are in the grip of corruption. "Zelenskyi's government has been plagued by allegations of corruption, which may at some point become important when holding general elections there," he said.

According to the latest poll by YouGov, Reform UK is the second most popular in the country, with 22% of voters ready to support it. The ruling Labor Party (27%) is at the top of the list and the Conservative Party (20%) is third. The Liberal Democrats and the Green Party are each supported by 11 percent of voters. The next parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held before August 2029.
