Liberation of 8000 square meters of agricultural land in Qaimshahr

Sari - Director of Sari Agricultural Jihad announced the liberation of more than eight thousand square meters of agricultural lands in Ghaemshahr due to unauthorized change of use.

In an interview with Mehr reporter, Masoumeh Safari Orimi said, referring to the implementation of Note 2, Article 10 of the Law on Conservation of Agricultural Lands and Gardens: These measures are aimed at preventing the spread of unauthorized constructions, separating agricultural lands and protecting fertile lands in the villages of this city.

He added: In the investigations carried out during October, 20 cases of unauthorized separation and marking in paddy lands with an area of 4,000 square meters and 15 cases of separation and marking in garden lands with an area of 4,500 square meters were identified, which were dealt with according to legal regulations.

Director of Ghaemshahr Agricultural Jihad continued: In the same period, six cases of illegal building construction with an area of 215 square meters were also identified and legal measures were taken to demolish these buildings. Also, unauthorized walls of 150 meters in length were dealt with in the area of agricultural lands.

Saying that these measures have been taken in the villages of Sheikh Rajah, Jojadeh Artah, Mianroud and Mikla, Safari Orimi clarified: Protection of agricultural and garden lands and preventing these lands from leaving the production cycle is one of the important priorities of the agricultural jihad.

Referring to the consequences of the unauthorized change of agricultural land use, he pointed out: separation of agricultural land, construction of buildings and walls without permission, in addition to reducing the area of arable land, can affect the production capacity of agricultural products in the long term and provide the basis for inappropriate exploitation of valuable agricultural resources.

The director of Ghaemshahr Agricultural Jihad, emphasizing the continuation of agricultural land monitoring, said: "Experts and land protection patrol forces are on the agenda to identify violations and follow up on suspected cases of unauthorized change of use, and identified violations will be dealt with within the framework of the law."

Safari Orimi also asked the owners of agricultural lands to check the legal regulations and obtain the necessary permits before constructing a building, dividing the land or implementing construction projects in order to avoid violations and imposing costs due to legal action.

In the end, he emphasized: the protection of agricultural and garden lands plays an important role in continuing the production of food products, maintaining agricultural employment and supporting sustainable agriculture, and monitoring measures will continue to prevent unauthorized changes of land use in Qaimshahr.
