His interest in the Qur'an began when he was a baby and when he heard the pleasant sound of recitation; An interest that led to a serious decision to memorize the Quran as a teenager, and he was able to memorize the entire Holy Quran at the age of 15, within one year.
Bazesh later chose nursing, knowing its difficulties and responsibilities, in order to serve the people by taking care of patients and reducing their pain and suffering, along with religious beliefs.
In this conversation with Mehr reporter, this nurse who is the custodian of the Holy Quran talks about the role of the Quran in enduring the hardships of work, the effect of professional ethics on patients, the difficulty of long shifts and the need to strengthen treatment facilities in the cities; A story of the link between faith, responsibility and serving people.
From the sound of the Quran in the cradle to memorizing the entire Quran in one year
Fatima Bazesh, a 26-year-old nurse at Imam Mohammad Baqer (AS) Qirokarzin Hospital, in a conversation with Mehr reporter, stated that her interest in the Quran was formed in her life from childhood and gradually turned into a more serious path by attending Quranic classes, circles and competitions. When my mother used to play the Qur'an for me with the voice of the pious master.
He added: I was very interested in the Quran since that time and as a child I used to participate in Quran classes and go to Quranic ceremonies and circles with my mother. Participating in the Qur'an competitions was also a spark for my more serious entry into the path of memorizing the Qur'an.
This nurse stated that at first she did not imagine that she would be able to memorize the entire Holy Quran and continued: I really did not think that one day I would be able to memorize the entire Quran and I consider this success as a success from God.
Referring to the beginning of the Qur'an memorization course as a teenager, Bazesh said: At the age of 15, I entered the Citizen's Qur'an House and there I had a very good and kind teacher who encouraged me on this path. Along with studies, I was able to memorize the whole Holy Quran in one year and I am very grateful to my teacher who accompanied and supported me in this way.
He considered memorizing the Qur'an as one of the most important events in his life and stated: My interest in the Qur'an was formed since childhood and with the support of my family and the companionship of my teacher, I was able to continue this path. Even today, the Qur'an has a special place in my life, and many of my motivations and views on various issues originate from this relationship with the Qur'an.
I chose nursing knowing its difficulties
Bazesh said about his motivation for choosing the field of nursing: I entered it with full knowledge of the difficulties of this field and I knew that nursing is a difficult profession and comes with a lot of responsibility, but considering my religious spirit, I wanted to have a job where I could follow the Qur'an.
He added: It was important for me to be able to serve the people, reduce the pain of the patients and do everything I can to preserve the health of the people. For this reason, I chose nursing and despite its difficulties, I try to serve in this profession as much as I can.
Referring to the experience of working with her colleagues, this nurse said: I have very kind colleagues at work and the behavior of some of them has been an example of practicing the Quranic teachings. In the night shifts, when the work becomes very difficult, we have to deal with fatigue and work pressure on the one hand, and on the other hand, we have to deal with different patients and their different conditions and moods.
Bazesh continued: The nurse's responsibility is very high and sometimes during a shift, we experience a lot of physical fatigue and mental pressure; But in such a situation, the remembrance of God and the teachings of the Qur'an help me maintain my motivation and continue my work.
Referring to verse 48 of Surah Mubarakeh, he said: This verse is always in my mind and I remember it when I get very tired or when I feel that my strength has decreased. God says in this verse, "Be patient with the judgment of your Lord, for you are with our eyes"; That is, wait in the face of difficulties, because you are under our watch and attention.
This nurse added: For me, the meaning of this verse is that if I suffer in the path of good and serving people, I should know that God sees this effort. This belief motivates me to be able to serve people and bear the difficulties of work. I feel that an important part of my life and motivation is the result of God's grace and my connection with the Quran.
Promoting the Quran with behavior; From patient care to impact on colleagues
In response to the question of whether he advises patients to recite the Quran or read certain verses at work, Bazesh said: I do not read the Quran at work, because I spend all my time taking care of patients and reciting the Quran at home.
He added: I do not try to invite patients to the Quran verbally; Rather, my whole effort is to act strongly in performing my therapeutic duties and bring people closer to the Quran and spirituality with appropriate behavior and good morals.
Referring to the fact that her colleagues are aware of her memorization of the entire Quran, this nurse said: My colleagues are aware of this issue, although I have not directly discussed it with them. In the competitions I have participated in, this issue has been raised and my colleagues are aware of it.
Bazesh continued: Some of my colleagues, who were already interested in the Qur'an, have asked about the methods of memorizing the Qur'an and its teaching centers. I have also tried to guide them as much as I can, so that everyone can take a step in the path of progress and more familiarity with the Qur'an according to their ability and interest.
Emphasizing that the practice of religious teachings should be seen in human behavior, Bazesh said: It is important for me to be able to show in the work environment how the teachings of the Quran can be effective in the life and work of a person, by the way I treat patients, respect and perform my duties correctly.
Long shifts, work pressure and the need to pay attention to the conditions of nurses
Referring to the difficulties of the nursing profession, Bazesh said: "Besides the sweets it has, nursing also brings many difficulties; But I consider these difficulties to be a part of the path of service. However, it is necessary to pay attention to the working conditions of nurses and their responsibilities.
Referring to the night shifts, he added: Our night shift starts around 7:30 PM and continues until 8 AM the next day. In fact, we are in the hospital for long hours and we have to take care of the patients and take care of their needs all this time.
This nurse continued: Night is the time when a person needs rest, but nurses must be awake throughout the entire shift and face different patients and different conditions. This makes the task even more difficult, especially when the patient is unwell or has complex medical conditions.
Stating that the hospital where she works covers an important part of the treatment needs of the region, this nurse said: Qirokarzin Hospital takes care of patients and injured in accidents, and in cases where the patient needs more specialized services, first steps are taken and then the patient is sent to a more equipped center for further treatment.
Bazesh added: One of the problems we are facing is the lack of some diagnostic facilities, including a CT scan machine, in the hospital. Sometimes we have to send the patient to Firozabad to perform a simple CT scan; An issue that creates more problems, especially in adverse weather conditions or the difficulty of the route.
He continued: Transferring the patient to another city may take one to two hours, and during this time, the patient and his family face worries and difficulties on the way. On the other hand, time is very important for the treatment staff, and faster access to diagnostic facilities can be effective in the process of treating the patient.
Nursing, a mission to serve people
In response to the question whether, despite the difficulties of this profession, he would encourage his child to choose the field of nursing, he said: Every person who enters the field of nursing should make this choice knowing its difficulties and having a real interest. Many people know the difficulties of nursing, but they enter this profession with the motivation to serve people.
He added: I also chose it knowing the difficulties of this field and despite all the difficulties, I like to serve people as much as I can; Because I consider nursing to be my mission.
Referring to the fact that she is the first person in her family to enter the nursing profession, this nurse said: It is important for me to be useful in this direction and to do the responsibility I have accepted correctly. Interest in work and sense of responsibility towards patients are among the most important factors that motivate me to continue this path.
requests from patients; Be patient for the correct treatment process
In the end, referring to his expectations from the patients and their companions, Bazesh said: I ask people to be a little patient when visiting the hospital so that the medical staff can provide them with more complete services and take the necessary measures for their treatment.
He added: Sometimes patients expect all the treatment steps to be done in the shortest possible time, while in order to treat the patient properly, the history and necessary information must be received first, and then the required examinations and diagnostic tests should be performed so that treatment measures can be taken based on the patient's condition.
Emphasizing the necessity of strengthening the medical facilities in the cities, Bazesh said: I hope that the necessary facilities of the city hospitals will be provided so that the patients do not have to travel long distances to perform simple diagnostic tests and they can receive the medical services they need more easily.
In the end, he emphasized: Despite the hardships of nursing, I am still interested in this profession and I hope that I can do my duties in the best way by relying on God and with the motivation to serve the people.
