Atmospheric Instability and Showers Will Continue in Zanjan Through the Weekend

Zanjan – The Director General of Meteorology for Zanjan Province announced that atmospheric instability, increasing wind speeds, and showers and thunderstorms in various parts of the province will continue through the end of this week.

Mohammadreza Rahmannia in a conversation with Mehr Gaqat reporter: According to the latest maps and meteorological surveys, the sky of Zanjan province will be mostly cloudy today, Tuesday, and from the afternoon hours, with the increase in wind speed, atmospheric instability will intensify in most areas of the province.

He added: The activity of this weather system will be accompanied by rain showers and thunderstorms, and in some areas of the province, especially the high areas, there is a possibility of more intense rains.

The Director General of Meteorology of Zanjan province, pointing to the continuation of the activity of the rain system in the coming days, stated: Atmospheric instability will continue more or less until the end of this week, and during this period, the possibility of scattered showers and thunderstorms in different areas of the province is not far from expected.

Stating that the severity of instabilities is expected on this day more than on other days of the week, Rahmonia continued: According to meteorological maps, the probability of precipitation and its intensity is higher during today, and therefore, it is necessary for citizens and responsible agencies to pay attention to the upcoming weather conditions.

Referring to the issuance of yellow weather warning for Zanjan province, he said: due to the possibility of rain showers and thunderstorms and the temporary aggravation of unstable conditions, it is necessary to follow safety recommendations in rain-prone areas, especially in the highlands.

Temporary increase in wind speed in Zanjan

The Director General of Meteorology of Zanjan province further mentioned the wind situation in the coming days and added: Along with the activity of the rain system, the wind speed will also increase in some hours and this situation will be more pronounced especially in the afternoon today and tomorrow.

Rahmannia noted: Wind speed can reach a relatively severe threshold in some hours and this condition can occur temporarily in different regions of the province.

Emphasizing the need to pay attention to the weather changes in the coming days, he asked the citizens to take the weather conditions into account when working outdoors, especially in the afternoon, and to observe the necessary precautions in case of intensification of the wind or the occurrence of showers and thunderstorms.

The Director General of Meteorology of Zanjan province also stated about the temperature changes in the province: despite the continuation of atmospheric instability and the possibility of scattered rains, the temperature will increase gradually by the end of this week in most areas of the province.

Rahmannia added: The temperature will increase gradually in the coming days, and along with it, the unstable weather conditions will continue, including the increase of clouds, scattered rain showers, thunderstorms and wind blowing in some hours.
