Three Future Iranian Defenders in the Persepolis Match
Mohammadmehdi Zare, Danial Eyri and Masoud Mohebi, three young faces on the defensive lines of both teams in today's match.
According to "Varzesh Se", the match between Persepolis and Khyber in Khorramabad, in addition to the importance of points, has three young defenders on both sides of the match who can contribute more to Iran's defense line in the coming years. Zare and Iri, the two summer purchases of Persepolis, have arrived in Khorramabad with this team, and Masoud Mohebi is also one of the main members of Khyber's defense line. Three players with different paths that this match puts their names next to each other.
In Persepolis, Zare was able to open his place in the main line-up very soon. The defender who joined the team after returning from Russian football and became one of the permanent members of the Tartar team in the first weeks. He first played alongside Mohammad Hossein Kanaanizadegan and in the absence of the captain of Persepolis, he was placed in the heart of the defense along with Hossein Abargoui so that his presence would not depend on the absence of others.
The invitation to the recent Iran camp was another step for Zare. In the list that did not include Kananizadegan, Zare became the representative of Persepolis' defense line, although Qalenoui later stated that Kanani's absence was due to injury. Zare did not get a chance to play in the two matches against Uzbekistan and Russia, but his performances in Persepolis and his return to the camp have kept him among the options of the technical staff. The next step for this defender will be to turn invitations into opportunities to be on the field.
Erie has different conditions. He has not yet reached a stable position like Zare and has to compete to get more opportunities. Attending the Nagoya Asian Games with the Omid team was also accompanied by an injury in the game against North Korea, and after returning, he missed the meeting with Sanat Naft. Now he has returned to group training and accompanied the Persepolis caravan on the trip to Khorramabad, but considering the distance he had from the match, it seems more likely that he will start the game from the bench.
On the other side, there is Masoud Mohebi. Khyber's young defender, who was offered by Persepolis in the summer, and news about his possible transfer to Russian football were published. Massoud Abdi, the owner of Khyber, had also confirmed the offer of Persepolis and the desire of this player to continue football abroad. However, Mohebi stayed in Khorramabad and now faces a team that expressed interest in recruiting him.
Mohebi's name is also associated with the time of this match. His presence in Omid's camp was one of the main reasons for Khyber's request to postpone the game. In explaining that request, Kamalvand introduced Mohebi as a constant defender and one of the pillars of his team, and he also mentioned his two goals in the early weeks. Considering the absence of Mohebi and the presence of Arian Maali in the youth team, Khyber requested a postponement and the league organization agreed to it.
Now, this delayed match is an opportunity for Zare to continue his constant presence in Persepolis, for Iri a stage to return to match conditions, and for Mohebi a test against the red-faced offensive line. Three defenders whose continuation can be a part of Iranian football's answer to the need of a new generation in the defense line. Zare by consolidating his position, Iri by increasing the opportunity to play and Mohebi by continuing to gain experience in the Khyber lineup.
