The start of dredging of Anhar and Susa drains with a credit of nearly 40 billion Rials

Ahvaz - The Director of Agricultural Jihad of Shush city announced the imminent start of dredging and improvement of rivers and drains in this city with the aim of increasing water transfer capacity and preventing damages caused by weather hazards.

According to Mehr reporter, Guderz Bahramian said in a media interview this Saturday morning: This operation includes cleaning the rivers and drains from weeds, reeds and other obstacles, dredging the floor and correcting the slope of the roads, which is implemented with the aim of increasing efficiency and water transfer capacity.

Referring to the warnings related to the El Nino phenomenon, he added: Preparing water transmission and disposal networks is a necessary measure to reduce the risk of flooding and prevent possible damage to agricultural lands, especially in the event of heavy rains.

Bahramian announced the allocated credit of this project to be nearly 40 billion Rials from the three-year treasury documents and said: After holding a public tender, Faraz Ab and Khak Daniyal Engineering Company was selected as the winning contractor and the process of concluding the contract has been completed.

Director of Jihad Agriculture of Shush city noted: The implementation of this project will begin in the coming days and it will be an effective step in increasing the readiness of water networks and reducing possible damages caused by weather hazards.
