Bagheri Lankarani: Power Must Serve Upholding Truth
Shiraz – Former Health Minister Bagheri Lankarani stressed that power is not the ultimate goal in Quranic logic, saying: Power must serve upholding truth, and resistance should not be reduced merely to security calculations and the balance of power.
Shiraz- The former Minister of Health, emphasizing that power is not the final goal in Quranic logic, said: Power should serve the establishment of justice and resistance should not be reduced to security calculations and balance of power.
According to Mehr reporter, Kamran Bagheri Lankarani, on Thursday morning, in the Jihad explanation meeting of the holy shrine of Hazrat Ahmed bin Musa Shahcheragh (AS), referring to the role of society's attitude in facing crises, said: A single incident may cause anxiety and retreat for one group and lead to an increase in faith and endurance for another group.
He stated that the internal damage of the society is not limited to the weak management and ineffectiveness of the executive, he added: the disorder in diagnosing, prioritizing and interpreting events can weaken the social will and turn external pressures into an opportunity to retreat.
Bagheri Lankarani, referring to verse 214 of Surah Al-Baqarah, said: The Holy Quran emphasizes that it is not possible to reach the desired end without passing difficult tests, and difficulties are not necessarily a sign that the path is wrong.
He added: Asking about the time of God's help at the height of pressure does not mean doubting God's promise; Rather, it expresses the intensity of the test. The religious community should avoid turning problems into a failure-oriented narrative and, along with accepting the facts, should maintain its hope and perseverance.
Problems should not be an excuse to retreat
Referring to verse 13 of Surah Al-Ahzab and the phrase "إِنَّ بيوتنَا عْرَةٌ", the former health minister said: This verse shows that vulnerability is sometimes used as an excuse to escape responsibility and suspend duties.
Stating that the country's real problems should not be denied, he added: If restrictions and costs become a continuous justification for retreating and abandoning ideals, the social will will be damaged.
Bagheri Lankarani also pointed to the necessity of rereading Iran's history and emphasized: historical failures and imposed contracts should not be introduced as the only rational way of survival without examining the role of foreign powers, internal weaknesses and governance corruption.
Referring to the importance of Iran's resistance front and regional security, he considered the gradual change of religious norms and the weakening of sensitivity towards rituals as among the issues that require social vigilance.
Faith is strengthened in difficult circumstances
A member of the faculty of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, referring to verse 22 of Surah Ahzab, stated: The believers, facing the pressure of the enemies, interpreted these events in the context of God's promise, and their faith and submission increased.
He added: In the logic of the Qur'an, suffering and perseverance are part of the growth process of the believing community, and pressures are not necessarily a sign of failure, but can provide the basis for revealing the ranks and increasing faith.
Emphasizing the necessity of paying attention to different dimensions of power, social cohesion and resilience, Bagheri Lankarani said: If policy-making focuses solely on security restrictions and calculations, the Quranic meaning of resistance will be ignored. Because power in the Qur'anic view is not the ultimate goal, but a means to establish the truth.
Unity around leadership is a necessity of civilization
Emphasizing the role of leadership in maintaining the cohesion of the society, the former health minister said: Leadership should be the center of regulating the relationship between duty and expediency, patience and action, power and right, so that the society stays away from passivity, indulgence and emotional decisions.
Stating that unity around leadership is a necessity to preserve the identity and cohesion of the society, he added: social endurance is not sustained only by slogans, but also requires religious knowledge and correct understanding.
In the end, Bagheri Lankarani emphasized: one should not consider hardships as a sign of a wrong path, not use real weaknesses as an excuse to abandon responsibility, use power in the service of the right, and be vigilant against the gradual change of norms. In the Qur'anic logic, suffering, perseverance and divine support are the components of a single tradition.
