Most people agree that OLED monitors are as good as they come for gaming. They are also really expensive. Well, Alienware is bucking that trend with one of its latest OLED releases in 2026. The Alienware AW2726DM QHD 240Hz QD-OLED 27-inch Gaming Monitor lists for a reasonable $349.99, but there's currently a 10% discount that brings it down to $314.99 with free shipping. This monitor comes with the same three-year Alien warranty as other OLED monitors.

Alienware AW2726DM QHD 240Hz QD-OLED 27-inch Gaming Monitor
The Alienware AW2726DM is a 27-inch monitor with a resolution of 2560x1440 and a pixel density of 111ppi, which is sharp enough for both gaming and general workstation use, and has excellent text resolution. This panel uses Samsung's quantum OLED technology. A QD OLED panel is brighter and has a wider color gamut than a typical W-OLED panel. OLED displays generally offer superior picture quality compared to other monitors due to their combination of instantaneous response times, near-infinite black levels, and near-infinite contrast ratios.
Most "budget" OLED monitors have a refresh rate of 60Hz to 144Hz, but the AW2726DM's native 240Hz panel makes it a great choice for games that have high-speed movement or require vibration-like reflections (for example, sports games, racing games, and first-person gameplay). You need to make sure you have a decent graphics card to achieve 240 fps on a QHD monitor, ideally something like the RTX 5070 Ti or Radeon RX 9070 XT, although the RTX 5070 is suitable for older games like The Witcher 3, Fortnite, Apex Legends, Counter-Strike or Valorant.
Two of these monitors make a great multi-monitor setup for the upcoming Forza Horizon 6 game. Two of these monitors together are equivalent to a 49-inch monitor with a resolution of 5120x1440 and will be much cheaper than buying a dedicated 49-inch OLED monitor with similar specifications.
Finally, the AW2726DM includes a 3-year warranty that includes burn-in coverage, which most other brands don't offer. Burn-in is less of a problem than it used to be because there are built-in, automatic features designed to prevent it, but it can still happen. Dell assures that if there is a problem, it will take care of it.
