Sustainable Marriage and Specialized Training Are Top Priorities

HAMADAN – Director General of Women and Family Affairs at the Hamadan Governorate said that, alongside attention to marriage statistics, sustainable marriage must be placed at the top of priorities.

According to the report of Ambassador Arjan, Masoumeh Bagheri, in the specialized event of Saba, focusing on the marriage matching project, referring to the decreasing trend of marriage and childbearing statistics in the country, stated: In such a situation, strengthening and supporting the activity of matching centers is of particular importance.

Stating that marriage and childbearing statistics are different in different cities despite the great efforts of cultural and social institutions active in this area, he added: According to the statistics of the first five months of this year, some cities have experienced an increase in childbearing even compared to 1403, but overall the country's trend is decreasing and the improvement of this situation requires macro and structural policies.

The Director General of Women and Family Affairs of Hamadan Governorate listed one of the main axes of the national event of Saba to create coherence and coordination between the matching centers and institutions of the province and clarified: the activists of this field should increase their interactions even more so that by exchanging information and introducing qualified people, the existing capacities in different cities can be used beyond the geographical limits of each city.

Bagheri emphasized the need to improve the scientific and professional level of the activists in this field and said: The importance of taking specialized training and skills in matching centers is not hidden from anyone, and these trainings should be continued with the aim of increasing the awareness, responsibility and efficiency of the activists in this field.

Emphasizing that in addition to paying attention to the quantitative statistics of marriage, the category of stable marriage should be at the top of the priorities, he noted that the main purpose of the activity of matching centers, beyond statistics, is to help in the formation of a healthy, conscious and stable cohabitation.

In another part of his speech, the Director General of Women and Family Affairs of Hamedan Governorate pointed to the category of employment and economic issues of single people and added: Although the economic situation is effective in forming a family, without careful examination, financial issues cannot be considered the only factor or an unaffected factor in celibacy, but some of the working women and men with income are still single, which reveals the need for more detailed social research.

In the end, Bagheri announced his readiness to support facilitative projects and said: "With the cooperation of the custodian institutions and using the capacity of the successful matching centers, programs will be implemented to facilitate the marriage of working single people, but some institutions such as the municipality have had valuable experiences in this field before, and we welcome the ideas and suggestions of active centers in this field."
